if people are surprised by this they need a slap LOL. The only character that was unexpected is abel but the rest rest of it looks just like the latest tier list. Matter of fact if this was the latest tier list i would agree wit it more or less
Ken's only above some of those people because he's an EXTREMELY popular character (like Ryu). So by default there's bound to be more successful Kens than Bisons etc...
There's a pretty big discrepency when it comes to the tier list and japanese bp with these characters, take it as you will:
Abel especially (higher)
Chun-Li (lower)
Blanka (lower)
Ken (higher)
and
E. Honda (lower)
I thought Honda and Chun-Li would be more popular Japan, guess not.
@#34 im tired of the whiners also, only because i have heard it so many times and because all they are doing is stating the obvious.
On a different note i did not expect abel so high up there and E.Honda/ Chun so low i would think Honda would at least be a solid amount above guile considering how capcom downgraded him this time around big time and chun should be in the top 8 at least
Sagat will still be close to the top in SSFIV, people keep claiming that Dudley will be #1 but from the average XBL player, Dudley is too complex to be good at. I think Cody will be the new top dawg personally.

the bp in a way is a better way to rank them. The list shows whos wining and whos not and its easy to see that the characters that arent wining arent wining for a reason. U mentioned blanka, well, blanka sucks lol. If u know how to fight him theres not much he can do and versus the top character on the list he really doesnt have alot of options. Plus last i seen blanka was ranked in c tier, which is pretty close to where he ranked in point wise.
Lets just hope that super 4 will be alot more open when it comes to character selection.
interesting thread but i see always complaint from sagat.
its true that hes overpowered but doesnt mean overpowered.
theres only 3 matchup that i have seen sagat dominate everytime,Gief,Claw ,and blanka i think.
the others when know the matchup do fairly well in tourneys.
take for example the national,the sagats was owned by dhalsims.and aside from RF the other was inexistant.Goukis now becamed monsters and twin fatyy boys ,Kindevu and MDR OCV everyone.
Even boxers like pamyu did a lot of damage to sagtas.
my advice for the complainers ,train a lot versus sagat.try to beat the cpu at hard level with only perfects ,adjust your punish timing.improve your links and believe me ,the best sagat will be like playing against The legendary MASATSUGU 's Sagat...lol
at GaygoUmehado top tier in japan isnt like our top tier.
try to play them and you will come back home with thumbs the size of building.lol.

we have 3 amazing players in japan.first one is a brother with grandmaster sagat 2th in japan called erikn.2nd we have the dhalsim of the guy who beated daigo before evo.3rd we have kim1234 a marvelous dictator.
Surprised to see Abel so high up there, but more power to him! I love that bastard. Sad that Chun isn't getting more love though :(
