and my main... still has no links OR juggles to ultra... yea hang on lemme use my whole super bar for an ultra2 that doesnt fully connect. what the hell does it take for them to give him a favorable poke that can link into his ultra? its like theyre forcing people to use guile as a turtle! what about me? lol I use guile fairly offensively, and he doesnt even have any offensive tools in vanilla! well looks like im goin back to the sfa3 days. cody, WELCOME BACK!!!

Dudley can combo into his ultra from his overhead, no meter required, for 450+ damage.

I imagine that's a good portion as to why he'll be top tier.

jesus, he hits like gouklen, except he seeems to have ten million decent links and setups to get his ultra out! youch. :o

I don't really how people are making these combo videos already. I was hoping everyone would start fresh at the same time and explore new combos on their own.

why on earth do you hate guile? he used to be a great character! although typically boring in sf4, i'd rather fight a guile than yet ANOTHER ryu lol

Cody is SO awesome, SO awesome.
Guile not, and now he can awesomely do lk Flashkick>Ultra. This feature was almost taken away from Ryu and now given to Guile, great, I imagine 9/10 Guiles now crouching in a corner as early as they see that they can perform their Ultra.

But man, the trials really show much cooler stuff than they did in SF4. The developers kinda watched some combos videos :P.

Wow Cody is looking nice. He will probably end up being one of the best in SSF4.

Charge down-back, forward, forward, down-forward, down-back and up-back/forward + KKK. If you do it correctly, the dash won't break your charge.

Can somebody explain why the last hit on Guile's Flash Explosion doesn't do damage?

i think mvc3 is gonna over take ssf4.. because from an epic stand point sf4 gameplay lacks so much in useful cool looking combos...

even from a spectator point of view the combos are usualy short boring combos we see over and over. and thats high level play nobody would waste the meter.

im glad that the sf4 engine is now being put to good use and might see multiple fadc's in combos as a regular thing in mvc3

wow Cody is the new Ryu he can win in almost any situation and he seems he wont have a bad match-up

Great now that I was gonna Main Cody because he was my favorite Final fight and Alpha 3 character, every noob will main him because he seems to be noob friendly and worse he has rap so every rap zombi and gangsta wanna be 5 year olds will main him cuz of that reason! damn. I don't care! My Cody will kill all ur noob asses heheh. So if you see me Using Cody know that I wanted to main him ever since I knew he was back for SSF4.

If Cody can combo into the full ultra animation like that, then they should fix it so Fei Long can too. That's just completely unfair that Fei can't.

Cody turning into the new scrub choice character like his friend Ken just means more chances to practice beating him up.

I like how people assume a character is broken because a situational combo is effectively pulled off against an opponent that isn't attacking back.

That's really Cody's theme, right? Someone got it quickly....

@14 its not like ryu becuz u have to hit the character at a certain hieght to hit them high enough so tht when u landu have have time too charge trust me I do it a lot but not by staying in a corner

Wasn't most the damage from Guile's ultra 1 supposed to be in the last hit now? Seems like it does nothing now.

Is it just me, or does Guile's Flash Explosion pale in comparison to his Sonic Hurricane? His old Ultra looks painfully weak.

sonic hurricane only does a scratch of damage right after double flash? that's quite disappointing as a guile player -_- unless this version isn't the final version ( PLEASE dont let it be!! )

The last hit did no damage because it is in trail mode......the damage stops adding a bit after challenge is complete

its cool how they're playing torrented ssf4. But when it comes out I'm expecting all of them to support our developers and producers with income and cough up the measly $40.

Totally out of topic:

I was at the arcade playing against the computer at SF3 today at Golfland in Milpitas. I spent $5 to practice something (new to me) called hit-confirm and to learn how to use better a joystick (never own one).
I barely started when this young guy came over and beat me like 75% of the time. After like 1-2 hours, he lost 3 times in a row and he starts to tell me how much he is pissed at me, that I should not hit the buttons so hard, and ask me how long I plan to play him. I don't want to get in a fight over a game, but what should I have tell him?

How did SaBr3 knew how to execute Cody's combo? I wonder how he figured what moves to link or cancel? I'm surprised to see that he combos with Cody. How long did it take him to do combos with Cody?

@18. Yeah sure it's so much fun to juggle an opponent in the air for 5 years and swap with your team mates (some which are like 3 storeys tall) mid combo to land a 145753 hit combo. This is Street Fighter for goodness sake. If you want ridiculous, OTT combos then that's what MvC is for.

Yeah I downloaded the game. I also pre-ordered it for 360, and PS3 fully paid for. So as far as im concerned I already bought it. All you pirate haters need to get over it already.. Go buy an RROD 360, or sometimes you can get a free one from craigslist, fix it, and mod it, play SSF4.

Or cry like babies when people get games before you. It's your call. I'm off to play some SSF4 2player vs mode with my homeboys. Good luck.

Anyhow if piracy is big even in console, maybe this is then a good idea to release on PC too since it is no different than consoles... except you can't play online regardless if you don't own the game
