PS3: oversaturated(stage/character dependent), mediocre AA :(
360: finer details in background(grass/trees[Africa stage],..)
Overall: Looking forward for the PC release with C16xQ AA & x16 TF in 1080p@60fps :]

PS3 is the one that is sharper, maybe too sharp... 360 looks better because of small layer of blur they put on top which evens out some tiny renders, like Guys hair.
man people are so funny. you have to focus on specific stuff. just look at cammy's hat contour on her forehead. one version is obviously cleaner, come on. you can be a fanboy that's alright. but don't blind yourself when things are obvious, that's just sad.
anyway all yall will have as much fun playing the game on one console or the other. it's not like it matters
XBOX wins.. Minor details are better on the 360.
just look at cammys hair in the 1st pic. and your see rough edges on the PS3 version. the same rough edges are smoother on the 360 version
why are you comparing the same game for both systems, when all you have to do is change the brightness, color, and texture to match the other system's picture. The game is exactly the same for both systems.

Xbox looks far better - but PS3 has more colour...although I think it's oversaturated.

You guys kidding me? There's no difference between this and vanilla SF4, and we all know the PS3 runs at 720p while 360 runs at up-scaled 1080p. This is going to mean that the 360 will look sharper and better on modern LCD TV's while the PS3 will have more noticeable jagged lines and such.
In these pics the xbox has better anti-aliasing. PC FTW.

cheap A$$. ill gladly pay 50 a year to get stuff MONTHS before PS3... and then rub it in your face that i have it before you. GTA's DLC for example.. i know there are a ton of others, just cant think right now. Oh yeah 1 vs 100 is xbox exclusive...
I own a PS3, XBOX, and a modded Wii. Ill be buying SSF4 for both systems and i have a TE stick for both systems. PS3's main use is for Blu-RAY. Netflix even looks like garbage on PS3 compared to xbox... or maybe its because my ps3 is connected wirelessls and xbox is wired... im rambling. The games looks awesome on both systems. Its only $20 more than buying a standard retail game, to have it on both systems... no brainer
BTW, im not meaning to offend you, I just get upset when people talk down to paying for XBL... you get so much for less than $5 a month
360 background detail and shadows look a lot better. Especially the water on the Africa stage and anywhere you see foliage. Just looks a lot crisper. Colors seem slightly off in a lot of the PS3 screens also.
Oh well, probably not much you're going to actually notice much while playing, but definitely is a noticeable difference.
Lol this matters not as much as Xbox fans are bitter ps3 is a far superior system, and i mean by a wide margin. The ps3 version looks more vibrant but the AA is not all that great compared to the 360
i cant tell differences besides color intensity (it is more colorful on PS3) and brightness (both of those things are probably adjustable anyway)...and it seems PS3 images are less smooth, more pixeled, but also it is pretty clear that shadows are more noticeable on character's bodies...the good sides of Xbox 360 images its filtering quality and clean looking image, that gives more smooth feeling, then bright and colorful version of PS3...
Looks better on PS3 because if you notice on the last picture the hippo is going to eat that small animal, while I don't see the little animal in the xbox version.... maybe he already got eaten.

Honestly, if someone just put a sack of crap on the PS3 and said it was a comparison to 360s SSF screenshot, PS3 fan boys will still be like 'OMG OURS LOOKS BETTER ROFL' and then a stupid smiley to show that they actually have the IQ of a twig.
And vice versa, by the way. I'm not saying that 360 players are somehow more majestic-especially since I own only a PS3 anyway.
...in my subjective opinion too much color and brightness (in PS case) is a bad thing, it makes bad impact on the eyes and its harder to concentrate because everything is shining, sparkling etc...xbox 360 image looks far better it is smoother , softer for the eyes, not to mention it has better AA filter...talking of good sides of PS3 - it is its controls off course, its objectively better on PS3, then on Xbox 360, but even though i got suited for 360's control pad pretty well, learned timing and now i manage to win matches with PS3 users...my point is that if your hands aren't made out of crap, than no matter how hard and uncomfortable controls are, you'll eventually learn it...
All I care about is whether or not Viper's tie will move when she's in motion.
ITT: PS3 Fanboys, 360 Fanboys, people with commonsense who are really PS3 fanboys bitter over the slight graphical lead 360 has in this game, and people who have the genuine sense enough to understand graphics don't matter as most of us still play SF II.

Correct! I wasn't paying as much attention to the background, which should be the place to actually look for differences. The fighters are pretty much the same (save for the anti-aliasing), but there's a big difference in the background.
Anyways, the best conclusion is still that using JPEGs to compare pixel differences is stupid. Looks like the foliage saved this magazine's article.

PS3 is saturated and the colors are very contrasting.
360 is LESS saturated and allows for better detail. There is also more range in colors. Plus, it's easier on the eyes.
This came from a person who has a degree in fine arts.
In the end, it comes down to personal opinion and what pleases your eyes.....even if your eyes are wrong! :)
360 looks better, because of anti-aliasing. This is something the 360 does better than PS3 because it has a superior GPU. Most of the graphical processing on the PS3 is handled by the cell CPU, which doesn't allow for any antialiasing. Now stop arguing over such a minor difference, idiots.

Even though most multiplatform games look and/or run better on the 360. Many of the older PS3 exclusives I own look pretty average - despite the mass of hype I experienced prior to buying a PS3. This includes MGS4 and Killzone 2.
FFXIII is one of the few games that clearly looks better on the PS3 over the 360.
Sure, it has the POTENTIAL to be superior...but disturbingly little games have taken advantage of this potential so far.

I disagree. I too am an artist, but I am also a graphical computing enthusiast, and I can tell you saturation you're seeing is your imagination. Compare the specs of the 360 and the PS3 GPUs... it just couldn't happen! However, I'm not saying you don't see it - as you said, it's possible for someone's eyes to be wrong!
I like how alot of people are arguing on graphics when it does not f-ckin matter, really? does it matter if a consoles graphics is better than the others? can't it just look good without being compared? Because when looking at these screenshots I just thought the game looks good on BOTH consoles.
I'm not going to Evo because they use PS3 and the Xbox version looks a little better. Why would I fly all the way to Las Vegas just to play an inferior looking game from what I have at home? I own both and I see things for how they are...
Uncharted 2 and FF13 are two of the only games that beat out 360's titles in terms of visuals IMO.
Xbox360: Sharper images, More AA than the PS3 Version, Higher Resolution Textures in the backgrounds, (Check out the Hippos from Both PS3/Xbox360... And also check out guys hair/hands)
PS3: Slightly less AA, Less grade Textures (Has been seen in many games compared in both versions, Bayoneta, Ghostbusters, ETC.
Oh god all these comments are biased, and when I look at mine I'm just stating the truth. I have both consoles and I majorly play PC games... Killzone/Uncharted have the little to no AA, My eyes could not bare it, I have both games... If you want to compare graphics to any game, please go to a PC forum to get ripped to shreds by the sheer fanboys.

They good, yes - but they're not amazing.

Look at the images, or if you are to blind to notice the jagged edges and the slightly lower res textures in the PS3 version go to some PC overclocking forum and let them "Politely" tell you the Xbox360 version looks better.

I just hope that everything thing will be at peace once the game comes out. It will not matter how the game looks for any console, just as long as you get the joy of playing it. Its the competition and fun that bring us together as a whole... Not slightly better resolution. I may not be a pro or anything but not once have I ever heard someone say how nice the graphics look on a certain area than the other console's version. You are having too much fun playing to care. Hope we will have all have fun on release date.

Smh this stupid enjoy the game on which ever system u prefer simple as that. I own both but have always prefered my ps3. Free online,wireless connection(since I don't have to run a wire across my room or pay 80 for a wireless adapter on the 360) plus I usally prefer to play on pad even though I own a joystick(the 360 control is only for shooters) I enjoyed sfiv on my ps3 no complaints and besides dint they use a ps3 at evo?
Btw god of war 3 is the best looking game hands down on any system. It looks better then killzone2,mgs4 and gears of war 1&2 I don't think 3 is gonna make much of a difference.
The PS3 seems to have sharper (in a good way) edges and darker tones, but the 360 version's textures seem more defined.

But considering that we play SSF4 (i hope) not for specific purpose of studying curves of Cammy's hips on 42" screen, I would not bother. Even if I'm your typical soniboy.

Even if the images were better or not on one system or the other, I'll be buying my copy for the system that doesn't have 900000000000000000000000 little 12 year old's mashing dp constantly.
