That combo on Rufus is amazing.
Daigo is on another planet when it comes to this game. So damn good.
It's one thing to pull sh*t like this in training.. another to pull it in a real match... and even another to pull it off against high caliber players like these.
Jesus Christ what an epic finish vs Sagat!!!
Come SSF4, that match is gonna end a whoooole lot quicker.
The Balrog vs Ryu Match @ 1:07 was a nice anticipation by Daigo. He probably knew that Boxer's only option left is to jump or do ultra. the former proved true and if the latter one happen then Daigo would have just blocked it and after that finish him off.
Haha poor Sagat, busted by sucky auto-correction moment.
But Daigo really deserved the win, outstanding control of the match, despite such a Sagat.
wow, I think that's the only time I've ever seen Daigo drop an FADC Ultra...Can't imagine he did that on purpose.
The concentration that this guy takes in every single match is amazing... :O
Can't wait to see Daigo in action when SSFIV is release.
i wonder if daigo will do good against all the new characters in ssf4 ........will he still own? i wonder?
@23
Mago is the top in terms of battle points, doesn't mean he's the best #1 at Street Fighter--that probably is Daigo. Daigo is still 200k BP behind Mago. That just means Mago plays more than Daigo, that along with the fact that is is probably 2nd best ever.
ryu needs a temporary "evil ryu mode" to combat sagats angry scar
So many Sagats T_T. So explain to me the logic of Capcom giving him another move, while *nobody* else got one? Who in their right mind would give the most powerful character *another* tool, when there are so many other weaker characters?
maybe if ryu wasnt 2 steps away from sagat i would be impressed. But o well. Would be nice to see him use someone else in super 4 but i doubt it, and dont act like he only uses ryu, u can get clips of him useing balrog in turbo.
@23
Daigo has beaten Mago before, the reverse is true as well. Daigo is number 1 in w/S %, Mago is number 1 in battle points.
I can't really say who's better, Daigo wins more % of the time, but they are both on such a ridiculously high class of skill I like to consider them about equal
@6 Your whole upon these fights were sheer bliss for me, you sir have made my day thnx XD.
lol. Did yall see the amount of safe jumps there were? Rufus had no chance. This is why combos into sweep are lame. Safe jump off throw is one thing, but from a hit confrim into sweep? Come on now.
@34 If you only look at one small part of the whole picture, then sure, it seems unreasonable. But when you consider than when he uses this special move, which costs several frames and bar, that his uppercut will do as much damage as it does now in vanilla SFIV, it doesn't seem all that bad. His uppercut was nerfed pretty hard, along with most other ones, and he's had several damage nerfs.
@ #43 well these are old matches so it's normal to me to see him mess up on something like that...we all do from time to time.....does were really good matches though i must say...i was wondering where that rufus vid was on youtube and here it's posted before me...funny how things work out at times.....
yeah so awesome, yet all they did were fireballs....lame
First video was awesome. Second video was 4 minutes of "tigershot". Third video was pretty hadouken heavy but still awesome.
I know people say spamming fireballs is part of the game (And it is), but it's boring as hell to watch.
I doubt Daigo will do well in Super Street Fighter 4 considering Ryu got the nerfed the most severely out of all the cast.
Okay haters, there's a difference between playing to win and playing for show. Obviously Daigo plays to win because he as a reputation to uphold.
Spamming hadoukens is good for zoning and baiting, it's an effective tactic that helps one 'win', go figure.
If you find it boring to watch, then go watch some Spongebob or switch to Tekken because no one is going to risk their game just to be entertaining for the likes of you.
Daigo uses fireballs very effectively. In the match against Momochi, it's obvious to see that Daigo knows, with Akuma/Goukis aerial tools, he can't zone him as well as most characters.
Poor Rog at the last round :(
