I call it speculation... but I like MvC3 more than CvS3. I am not interested into another turtle game
if...
- it is in 3D (the engine is already done)
- better balance than MvC2
- use a ratio system of team like in CVS1... you may end up with a team of 1 or 2 or 3

I hope it is MVC3 and not a another game. I personally much prefer MVC over CVS. It's a shame when when CVS is MUCH slower and still almost as broken as MVC. Plus Capcom and SNK don't mesh well any more.

I don't get some people. First a lot of folks demand mvc2 on live and psn and some folks say why not part 3?. Now that rumors are go around of a part 3 ya want capcom vs snk 3?! Make up ya mind! I loved cvs2 and hope they release it on psn and live but if mvc3 drops with tatsunoko vs capcom graphics and a balance and similar play style to it then I'm not complaning. With capcoms resources i doubt it. ANd then u have to ask how many capcom characters are they gonna model. 10-20 characters shouldnt take that long to do(remember, we already have the snk side done). Plus think how the snk characters would look in sf4 engine(mai would look like a disaster). A cvs3 would almost have to be hand drawn, unless u want to butcher it and do the hand drawn sprites next to the sf4 3d models(like they did with cvs2 puting the freah snk stuff and the old alpha sprites).

I already know if it were to announced, which there's no proof it is(We're talking CVS3 cause Chicken was talking about CVS3 and) it would probably show gameplay stuff at the time of annoucement especially if it's from Capcom. However no one before the first was even hinting at CVS3.
Marvel 3 I just couldn't see Marvel(Disney owns them but allows them to run like normal company just as long as they know they're like Kingdom Hearts Donald duck, aka powerful in their own ways but still easily owned) missing the opportunity to hint that they're doing it so I doubt it's MVC3 announcement especially since Seth or anyone at Capcom US isn't like "Oh prepare for something 'marvelous'" or something like that

My only request from MVC3 is make it 616, 1616 or New Movie universe correct
Earth-616 is the default Marvel earth in the comics
1616 is the "Ultimates version" and what the new movies are kinda based on(Black Nick Fury and the Initiative lead by him to make the Avengers)

Sir Arthus or Maximo,Samanosuke,Dante,Momo/Ayuhara Natsu(Rival schools),Gunrock/Edward Falcon(powerstones),Princess devilotte,Haggar/Poison.
A monsterhunter character,Zombie (either RE or Dead Rising) or a chiki chiki boys-character (genesis classic,could play like ice climbers?)would be great too.

ok well I've thought about this. MvC3 would be a totally awesome idea, and a really fun game. But would it be the same crazyness that made MvC2 so much fun? And could the characters (if they do go 3d route) keep the same spark of awesomeness they had in MvC2? Too many questions... I hope this game is using Capcom MT Framework so it can be ported to multi platform like Street Fighter IV. Because of that, current Capcom's Wii games are more difficult to port to other platform like Xbox360, PS3, and PC.

the problem is kof 12 bombed hard and kof isnt no where as popular as street fighter. Agreeing to another cvs would help them more by geting people interested in the brand again by exposeing there characters to sf players(dont forget, the last cvs was what? 10 years ago?). Snk would be stupid to not want to do it, but then again depending on how kof 13 will do its hard to call it right now.

Gotta call you out on Sf being more popular than Kof. Sf is really big in japan, and the us, and kof is more well known in south america, mexico, and more countries of asia (china, japan, etc.). Part of that is because of the cost of their cabinets, and ease of stacking roms onto one. Of course, nobody cares about non-english speaking countries on the site sans japan, but ah well.
Snk probably has most of its staff on kof13 like you mentioned, and it would be bad atm to shift its focus to multiple projects, because they need to dig themselves out of the hole they made.

It doesnt take so much longer to do 2d sprites. U act like they dont hav to do alot of work for 3d sprites, take into account hair,clothes, shadows etc. Mind that bugs within a character model are 1000 times more noticable(the crab walking spy from tf2 comes to mind). The only benefit 3d models give is the ability to make alts but most of those suck anyway.

Shadows are easy seeing as unlike 2D sprites where you must paint them on you just have to make a generated light in the 3D world that you can tweak,Hair is pretty easy,the hardest would most likely be Claws,Vipers and Blankas(also maybe goukens) hair when it comes down to both cast Benimaru is easy since it's a solid block of sicked up hair much like guiles.
I don't play TF2 that much(Sold my orange box last year) but I do know there are problems with 3D models however turning out a 3D model that you can animate is easier then turning out a 2D sprite sheet cause there would be no physical representation until it's done

street fighter and king of fighter characters go together and would be awesome in the style of sf4 (graphic wise).
most characters in both companies are originally made for 2d fight games and have great appearance and attacks.
marvel is total ass they just don't fit sorry, good for adventure games maybe for kids under 18(Hollywood movies as well) but not hardcore fighting .
