...and also what happened to claw's fabulous sense of style? second outfit at vanilla SF is just cool. he looks like a medieval foot-soldier in that photo.
Actually im loving El Fuerte's outfit, we call them MATACHINES (ritual dancers) in here and it looks very accurate to the real thing

Vega's is disappointing... I was hoping for a Geki homage. I mean, I get it, Don Diego de la Vega, but... come on. Both alternate costumes ignore his fighting style - why not skip MMA gear for Abel and just make his alternate a hulking French mime? Eugh. It just doesn't communicate elegance or lethality, two of Vega's prime traits. :/

Bison: They are going with the mecha-look, yet give him naked arms? metal arms + glowing eyes would bring the outfit from a 5/10 to a 7 mabye 8/10 repsectivly, what is with this half ass work.

The funny thing is i remember reading a few months back that they wanted to do mecha blanka lol. I guess they didnt do it cause they wanted mecha bison instead.
hopefully they add more costumes in the future. the original SF4 cast has 3 costumes and the new guys only 2 so hopefully they will at least get another

i agree that fan art was really well done and looks alot better than the alt's capcom is giving the characters. That guy deserves to be hired by capcom for costume design he/she is really talented

@98 Ken has a cowboy alt probably because of super gem fighter where he had moves that turned him into a cowboy (no foolin).
Overall pretty nice alts and most reasonable people can just wait till the final pack and get a decent deal if they really want them all. After all you really don't need them for anything.
Ryu's costume kinda reminds me of Akira in Virtua Fighter. I personally do not like it that much.

I love them all but Ken and Abel. First Ken. Rufus should be the one getting the cowboy outfit. he is at least southern and western southwest. Ken is a city boy. Makes no damn sense.
Abel's new alt has zero to do with either his country, his style, or his SF storyline. They just arbitrarily put guns on Abel the ... grappler. Makes no damn sense.
I think Chun's is brilliant.And echo that Akuma so far seems to have been gifted with the best idea of the bunch.

like someone mentioned about Kens alt is homage to his donkey kick attack in pocket fighter..so in that respect Im sorta ok with it :P Rufus should of had a full on leather biker look. His alt sorta based on hsien-ko..well that hat is :P. Overall I think the alt costumes are cool but they dont seem to answer why they are wearing it at that moment when they are fighting.

All these costumes fit one character witch is dan if u put dan in anyone of the alt costumes he would cool but to put costumes like these ryu and all the other characters is just crazy and there ugly makoto rice farmer =) I love her no matter what she where's she can have a strap on dildo and doodoo stains on her face and she would be cool but capcom please make the 4 alt costume free and cool since the 3 alt are hideous but look cool on dan

What I mean is the 80's and 90's had more variety, now a days is MOSTLY (not all songs mind you) crap.

....well this is Vanilla rap it's not about women cars or that he has alot of money just that you aren't on his level when it comes to street fighter. This is something different but I guess you only heard the first 5 seconds or else you wouldn't be saying that it's some Vanillla Rap.
you just proved your self a hispter even more because variety =/= quality, though they had variety some the majority of it was weeded out creating a quality sound, most 'vanilla' rappers and rockers are on sh*it by VIACOM like MTV,BET and VH1, mind you I don't listen to those I go on the internet and hear people like Dead Presidents, Mos Def, Amon Tobin and I love me some Rammstein.
In the video I linked to, i find the lyrics to be awesome since it's some higher level fighter scene stuff, the beat while kinda run of the mill(let's take an older track's beat an put new lyrics, however that's not the rappers fault it's Just Blaze's) and the rap style to be more aggressive then most run of the mill stuff

I wouldn't too much about SF turning hip-hop or rock. Just look at the soundtrack for SSIV in the videos lying around. The themes have techno (Dudley), traditional Latin music (Claw's new theme), and jazz (Boxer's new theme).
The reason they put a hip-hop theme in the TV spot is so that it appeals to the majority of audiences.
the only one i dont understand is ken i mean bison robot ok he needs bodies to keep living, cody hes a casual guy, akuma with the long hair and the shogun outfit matches his style, and so on and so forth.....

Two COMPLETELY different genres but it fits the character perfectly and feels like something u want in a fighting game. And to me thats whats important, that garbage on the trailer doesnt feel right, niether does the j pop band in sf4. Imo the best thing capcom can do with the music is remix the original sound track from sf2(maybe even sf3). Regardless, it should feel like fighting game music no matter the genre.

i didnt like any of those remixes for SSF4 as a whole, I think the difference with the new music is that in the trailer u dont get the words u just get that weak beat. but if you youtube the song and listen its pretty cool. if they were going to go down this route i think they should have used someone whos been on recent albums and not on mixtapes cause JustBlaze whos last hit was with Joe Budden.....i think but if its true then really??

Why would we have to listen to you? Also since when you've seen a rap song in Vannilla SFIV(Or from the direction it went)? If i recall it correctly the old TV spot of SFIV had a some random loud band saying "THIS IS WAR!!!" Really? What does war have to do with Street fighter? it's not Call of duty buddy.
I say Street fighter is going in a right direction, since with this urban music and art style can attract more crowd of people to join the great thing that is STREET FIGHTER. If you were a real fan of street fighter you would appreciated what the creators/producers are doing for the series! Like you sed! i for one welcome the change and based on the art style depicted in the posters and the tv spot it matches up well up to dat graphics need up to date music. if you added in any of those remixes from SF2 etc. they would clash real hard....one because the characters are full on 3d and not sprites with little to no expression...two the action calls for a more up beat rhythm with a strong foundation (bassline)..three techno rock house bluegrass etc. is in EVERY other fighting game literally why cant capcom switch it up?
