zUkUu noticed over on Play3.de that Yoshinori Ono attended an event in Hamburg, Germany where he provided a couple details on the Tournament Mode DLC (downloadable content) for Super Street Fighter 4.
is this gonna be like champs mode? or a tourney brackets type thing
If tournament mode is an offline thing and it gets used in real tournament situations then it can have the same problems as HDR on 360
I'm also hoping they use this to patch any glaring issues that are in the initial release (like unblockable ultras) as well as some balance fixes that might come up after the first few months of everybody playing the game.
why are so many people worried about unblockable ultras? they are not really unblockable. plus u need meter to do it.

@14: I don't worry about unblockables. All I care about it is to kick some ass in SSF4 when it comes out on 4/27/10. My Gamestop will have a midnight launch for that game and I'm excited.
I want the leaderboards to cycle their displays when the game isnt being played like the arcade does.
Like how you see the "Top 10" scores being displayed when its 'Game Over' like how the arcade SF4 does it. :)

They're not unblockable if you block AFTER the ultra starts up.
So much false information about unblockables in these comments, it's sickening, go study up on the findings members at SRK have made. I imagine this will be delayed several times as we find glitches, bugs and possibly infinites within the first month or so. Kind of similar to how championship mode was delayed several times.

Alt costumes were never supposed to be free. People in the community got that idea in their head for various reasons, but they were wrong (obviouslY). Since the beginning it's been Capcom's policy to charge for costumes, and that hasn't changed. Championship/tournament mode on the other hand... Now, if Capcom actually does start charging for that, then we can call them out for their underhandedness, greediness (well, we know they've always been greedy) or whathaveyou.

I probably busy playing team battle with my friends cooking everybody me and rico suave rolling through everybody but I hope tournament mode is good not horrible if you know what I mean
