Examiner.com has a new interview with Capcom's Seth Killian. Unlike other pieces this doesn't particularly focus on the games, instead it's more of getting to know one of the community managers at the company. Can you give a brief history on how Capcom Unity started?
Seth: The idea for something like the Unity site had been kicking around Capcom for before I was here, but there’s a big difference between having an idea and making it a reality, so my arrival was sort of the tipping point. We had grand plans before we had to actually make anything, but when it really happened it was a lot of careful baby steps: expanding on the vanilla vbulletin forums, then on to a wordpress blog, then stretching the wordpress blog way beyond what it was meant to do, and then finally using a special platform designed from the ground up to support the kinds of things we wanted to do. We got there over a year ago, and our excellent web tech team have been expanding that platform to its technical limits as well.
Interesting interview, I like Seth - don't get the random hate some people have for him. It's not exactly his choice that he has to beat around the bush all the time...
Seth is a real intelligent guy. He doesn't seem to be caught up in the corporate BS and when you uncover his layers, he seems to be a real down-to-earth kinda guy. Capcom has a solid community face in Seth Killian.
Yes, El Fuerte sucks too hard... He is worse than Vega... Running around like a monkey... and then he loses after running...Haiz, he shoudn't be included in the game.
