With Super SFIV, the emphasis on art continued, as the new "sketch" style brought a new look to SFIV. As the marketing campaign evolved and our research illustrated, we found that consumers needed to know what was "new" about "Super SFIV" and also that the lower price of $39.99 was a purchase driver.

Cute concept! i sure can see people getting drawn into the ad by 1st: the characters, then 2: one word, then another, then another, so on...
To be honest I don't like any of them. I've seen actual game screen shots that would have been better.
You know, an ad showing Juri doing her taunt in the SSF4 combo vid would have sold me ;D
This is like getting an 8 kill streak and getting an Emergency Air Drop.

I was wondering what they would do with the ad campaign. One gripe, They should show the price tag larger.
20 bucks less than Vanilla 4? Anyone who likes fighters should get this.
I think these are awesome! Remind me of the good old 90's era, i definitely encourage such simple yet fun approached to advertising instead of something high gloss and predictable. The only thing i would have done a bit different was add the number 10 in front of "new fighters" cause that is the real selling point
It looks like Capcom is marketing to the prepubescent LOL. I can't say I like or dislike them.

Silly/dumb ads don't impress me
I don't get what's so silly and dumb about it.. I mean, maybe it's a little too loud or colorful for your taste, but they aren't bad. I don't really mind them at all, the Guile vs. Adon one was pretty funny. These ads are going to catch attention, and it's a smart move. As a producer, you wouldn't create ads that would interest people like us, the ones who are already interested in Street Fighter, you would create ads that would catch the eyes of the DISinterested.
And the opportunity they could have had in remixing Rolento's classic background music.

dude this looks like the shaq-fu on urban outfitters advertisements, which is ok for clothes but not for street fighter. i give this a major thumbs down, especially juri vs chun li one.
this ad has an art style that would appeal to the emo/artistic/urban outfitter/metro park wearing demographic, definitely not the kind of crowd i'd expect to be playing street fighter, so i hope this is an april fools joke..

Give me 30 minutes and I'll do one.
Meh. All are too "busy" except for Cody vs. Akuma, and that one looks dumb too because of the random colored pencil doodles and handwritten text. I disagree with #24, I think something predictable would have been better. These are just silly looking, unprofessional. Nothing to get all bent about though, it's the game that really counts.
I might be reading too much into this, but take a look at the price tag in the Ryu vs Hakan.
Unlike the other's the price doesn't seem to be $39.99. Instead, it looks more like $39.93.
But why the 93? What significance does that have?
Answer? Super Street Fighter 2 was released in 1993.

well, i think that the only ones i don't like e the ones that the text looks like pencil, and cody vs. akuma. after that, i think these are awesome, my favourite being the guile vs. adon one. because of the art style and the, "battle of the flat tops", coment.

I like the Pencil Doodle, The Chick Fight/Dime Piece and the Eat Knees one. I like the direction it is going. Kinda reminds me of Thrid Strike.
Some are better than others. The Guile vs. Adon one is by far the best designed with the best color and typography, but the Juri vs. Chun one isn't bad, either.
