News of Street Fighter IV Dash possibly at TGS
We were teased last week on the official Japanese Street Fighter 4 blog that there would be news of Street Fighter IV Dash (Championship Edition) today, but not to get our hopes up.
Shiozawa-san again teased us with news that we'd hear more in the near future, and Azrael on the Shoryuken.com boards graciously translated the most recent post.
Well then, regarding the "CONTINUATION" that everyone has been getting restless over!
Give us just a little while longer, and we'd like to give you all something concrete.
Just a little bit...
Well, I think its okay to have a little bit of anticipation.
Ah! Next week is Shiozawa's favorite event, TGS!
She plans on going, so if you see her please be sure to say something!
With the festivities just a week away, and TGS being the last big name show of the year, if Capcom was going to make a sequel/upgrade for Street Fighter 4 known at a big press event in 2009 — this would likely be it.
But it looks like fans will have to wait at least another week before it's official.

Well from the Unity twitter there was this message left a couple hours ago. (From my main man Yoshinori Ono: “I’m getting busier and busier in these days…") This doesn't prove anything, but definitely shows he is getting ready for something soon(hopefully TGS).

@7: Capcom has not "jipped" us. They gave us IV. It has not even been out that long.

I'm sure they'll announce SF4 Dash cabins for Japan and use those as Beta tests.
A year or two after that, they'll release a console version of Dash in America & Europe with some minor tweaks from the arcades.
Or they'll announce nothing at all! lol

I can't wait for SF dash (if its true) but, with all these post about speculation, dash is sounding more and more real. That post of all those characters looks awesome and I hope it brings the Ryu and Ken players away to play somebody else. I am gonna switch my main too probably sense Dhalsim + lag = unplayable. Adon and Makoto seem like the ones i'll use but we will see who these 2 new characters are first.

I really really hope charlie will make a new appearance in SF4.. He's the coolest guy in street fighter for me and capcom keeps hammering on his character even though he's supposed to be ''dead''. He has to come back and make an epic appearance

I could see Charlie making it in he's like the cooler version of Guile. He would fit in great into the story sense he is Abel's friend as well.

I just hope they can maybe get rid of some of the shortcuts its hard enough trying to build meter to let it go to waste. mostly with my ryu. And BUFF el FUerte to the fullest

I just wish that somebody we would get the chance to have Zangief fight Hugo....Zangief would be all like "I am the red cyclone!!!" and then a large shadow would appear over Zangief, Zangiefs turns around, looks up at the immense figure, Hugo's hair blowing in the wind and he throws his arms up and proclaims "IM NUMBAH ONE!!!" Epic cutscene....

F--K SODUMB! Also, it would be cool to see Nash in the game, but I think it's already too late for him. Although they could change the story up a bit, but who knows. Seriously though, Sodom is quite whack in my opinion. It would be so sick and I would be in Heavan if they made Shin Gouki playable but not take up another character slot and also give him some different and more murderous moves. Just press start over Gouki's icon or something. Even a true Shin Gouki color variant would be awesome. -Sigh- A guy can dream...

Its just speculation but one of my sources tells me that the focus attack is being removed and the parry is being added. Also it will be like third strike where before the match you will have to pick a super art which tells me either the ultras are being removed or they are gonna make them less cinematic or tone them down which will actually be better for the game overall.

We need character balance and game mechanics changed before adding any cast into the roster.
The god damm gameplay in SFIV right now has a bunch of things that dont make sense. Like not being able to tech roll from a grab, or slow clunky dash system thats slow as hell compared to SFIII... and more ranting blah blah blah

ofcoarse Hawk and Deejay are in... They are the least popular super turbo characters and they still made it in over Hugo who still hade a higher vote than them both COMBINED... only 3 characters from Third strike...
It's obvious that the only pick those 3 to throw a bone to the third strike fans... Ibuki and Dudley are good better than good... they are really popular...Makoto could of been someone else althought im glad its 3 instead of 2.... how is Makota...more popular than, Yun, Alex, or Hugo?
Oh well.. hope the new characters are cool...and not another shoto clan

I have no facts to support this but heres how I think the new characters will boil down to.I don't think cody is gonna fit into the mix very well. I think Dee Jay's playing style is gonna be awesome (again). T.Hawk is going to be a faster version of Geif with more options. Adon will be like Sagat but take a lot of damage and will be faster. Makoto will be one of those characters that slow down the pace of the game with her grab. Who knows what Guy is gonna do haha.Ibuki is gonna be fast and dangerous in the right hands. As for the 2 new ones, I hope they are as cool as Abel and Rufus were and are from other countries like Sweden, Canada or Germany! CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!

well, whatever it is, really, they should not bring back parrying. The whole focus thing is new and they should keep it. It IS useful and makes SFIV fresh. Whoever they bring in . . . bring in. Just hope none of them will be broken that's all that really matters. Add an airthrow for Gief for christ sakes!! How do you NOT have an airthrow for him!?

i dont care who they put in, im sure whoever they put in will work... i play with all the sf4 chars and enjoy them all... didnt ever like thawk but im sure i'll end up using him and enjoying it
my prediction on the dash game:
- im thinking out of the 10 chars showing they will use about 7, 8 of them and maybe change a 2
- they will probably add goukens daughter as the only new shoto char
- no new system input like parry or air block...
- bonus stages lobbies etc
- still 1 ultra, maybe 2 supers?
things im hoping for:

i think nerfing sagat leaves the game pretty well balanced... he's the only char that seems to be in his own tier
people keep saying to boost up guile but i think if you do that you might up making him too good????
im not sure the in's and out's of balancing chars but my idea is if you add more to chars it might end up being a bit wonky again and end up with more headace nerfing sagat's strength seems pretty simple and fair???
i dont mind having chars that are mid tier but top tier should be a grouped well... sagat seems to be in S tier all by himself top tier char they a good selection... ryu, bision, rufus, viper, balrog, akuma... sims... gief?? there all as good as each other...
i dont think all chars should be balanced i like the fact that there are low, mid, high tier chars, makes the game fun...
either or im more than sure that i will buy into their product regardless... god bless sf4... thats the only reason why i bought a p3 lol

C'mon, they need to get with the program and say that Karin and Elena will make it. Karin should be Sakura's REAL rival and Elena should be Makoto's REAL rival, just like the series.

You know, I really would love Capcom to revive some of the EX characters for that game.
The series is so heavily neglected, although some of its character concepts are incredibly creative (without being as bizarre as, say, Q or Necro).
I'd like to see Doctrine Dark, Pullum, Skullomania and Area return. :[
If there's really Makoto, then we have already pretty much all Gi-characters except for Karin. The characters mentioned above would bring quite a lot of different playstyles, though.
