Shoryuken tattoo fail
Just a note for those of you planning on showing how hardcore you are by getting a Street Fighter themed tattoo — it's probably a good idea to double check the motion before you make it permanent.

People claim Photoshop on like every photo now, it's funny. When Eventhubs posted the first image of T. Hawk in SSF4 people said that was Photoshopped and "bs" and all that stuff, but it turned out to be legit. Of course those same people shut up soon after it was confirmed. :P
Anyway this photo looks real to me, his arm has the red marks that happen after you get a tat. If someone Shopped that, they spent A LONG time doing it because everything looks right.

No one is saying the tattoo isn't real... they are saying the order of the arrows are photoshopped. It's pretty clear because of the odd coloring around each letter near the top.
This isn't a product of the tattoo itself as it would surround each and every letter. It's a clear indication that the shopper had to fill in spots that weren't covered when he rearanged the letters.
Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

Photo is real, or looks real. The letters, lighting and everything fit together too well for it to be fake unless someone spent serious amounts of time and had ludicrous amounts of skill to dump into this, which I highly doubt.

I'm sorry but to me it looks like this has been designed the way the commands overlap nicely and what not and the writing and the fact that they even spelled shoryuken right indicates to me a level of thought that would have exposed such a blundering error. Or of course you could just say it was shopped. That's just easy.

looks like the tattoo artist took the fist(punch) from some history book i once saw that was about the black panthers. what would be a cool tattoo though is the bar code from the street fighter II for super nintendo. people wouldn't know what it is until you go to a game store that has that coding in their system and scan it. at least if the artist messes up you can just avoid game store scanners. if i were an employer i would hire this guy just for laughs.

Couldn't help but give my two cents on the shoop.
The red marks would be easy to reproduce since when you shoop you usually use bits of the picture somewhere else. Photoshop has powerful tools that allow you to reproduce a texture.
BUT. Clearly, seeing the construction and angles of the arrows, it seems to me like this isn't shooped. See, where the 2nd and 3rd arrow touch ? the angle at which it does is not the same as the 1st and 2nd arrows. That would imply rotating the arrows and thus losing space. It's still possible but means redrawing the arrows and that would be a pain. Just open photoshop and try it out.
Anyway just my two cents.

He wanna be sure not to forget how to make ze move when someone attacks him in the street. And he also gets mad when playing sfII cauz ze move doesn't come out when someone's jumping on him. In the two cases, just do a crouch High Punch, it's less show off. Draw a big cross on ur tat, then below make an other one with Down HP instead. "This is it".

i think the tattoo is real because in the correct order the arrows wouldn't be flush and it would look toilet, therefore they would have been spaced out a bit more. Poor poor kid. im totally gonna get kick punch chop on my left arm and turn kick block on the other.

If you twist the tattoo 90 degrees, the motions are right, but then shouldnt the fist should also be tilted 90 degrees? (I can't find a picture of the arcade control panel to verify the correct orientation)
What about the location of the + symbol?
You could argue the vertical orientation, but the way this tattoo is laid out, it "reads" horizontal.
