Capcom's Rey Jimenez is asking Marvel vs. Capcom 2 fans if the leaderboards should be reset with the upcoming patch.
Are you planning on resetting all of the leaderboards for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 when the new patch is released?
Rey: Hmmm.... how would you rather have it? Reset the boards or not? So the current bug with the wins/loss/ratings is that they are showing wacky scores or the wins/losses are no longer accumulating. The fix will correct the stats to the players true stats when the patch is applied the next time they play ranked mode. So my question to you is, do you want the leaderboards reset or not.
• A: When the patch rolls, do not reset the boards and let the wins/losses/ratings fix themselves. This way, users will still have all of their wins losses.
• B: When the patch rolls, reset everyone's score to zero. Even in a perfect world, leaderboards will tend to stagnate because the people at the top will eventually pull so far ahead, there will be no motivation to try and top them.
Let me know what you think.
