Posted this in the Capcom forums 1 day ago but forgot to add that the Japanese players had already been in Korea for 2 weeks and was waiting for this event to be broadcasted.
Casuals and a general meet and greet between the Korean and Japanese teams can be found here:

If you guys are interested, the Jon747 channel is a really good source for getting really good quality videos of stuff that gets aired on the Korean e-sports channel super quick, especially when it involves Starcraft.

Which country were the matches held?
Is it just me or the Korean players seem to be aggressive as soon as they are leading and turtle as soon as they are winning?
Posted by Somewhat Bitter on November 27, 2009 at 11:19 a.m. #18
What a diverse range of characters, it is truly breathtaking.
Posted by Kindevu on November 27, 2009 at 11:44 a.m. #19
If Kindevu wore his hair in a ponytail he would look exactly like Rufus.

Posted by Rave_Zero on November 27, 2009 at 1:41 p.m. #21
The least the Korean know how to create interesting atmospheres for game events and the commentators+cosplay keep the audience excited :)
Posted by Got Banned on November 27, 2009 at 2 p.m. #22
Why no Daigo?
Posted by classy on November 27, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. #23
korean tournaments are awesome and the presentation is the best... love showing their reactions to loosing and stuff
unlike american gaming scene, looks like an illegal swapmeet
Posted by @ 22 on November 27, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. #24
Cause then it would be unfair for the koreans. Lol. They set up this tournament thing too. Lol.
Posted by cheap american tournaments on November 27, 2009 at 3:36 p.m. #25
In the American tournaments, they hire a medieval hotel room which doesn't suit the presentation at all. They just put some chairs there, an El Cheapo laggy LCD from Wallmart and don't have spare cables.

I think the most fun character to watch be played in this game is c. viper. She is so damn agressive.
Posted by Anticitizen One on November 28, 2009 at 3:33 p.m. #36
So apparently Mago finally came out of the closet.
Posted by Guest on November 28, 2009 at 4:44 p.m. #37
damn that was crazy matches, should really be doing work right now >.>
Posted by SSJ3X on November 28, 2009 at 8:23 p.m. #38
The announcing saved the Koreans on this one lol j/p
It kinda does blow that the Japanese team pretty much mowed through them. Kyabetsu is such a beast with Viper.
They should do a USA Vs. Korea, get a mixture of some of the best guys in the US to play, like Justin Wong, Santhrax, Yeb, Alex Valle, etc.

Posted by Momochi on November 29, 2009 at 11:21 a.m. #41
#39, it won't happen. The Americans can't afford it. They've got $8 billion dept towards China.
