TvC's producer talks about game's network mode

Over on Capcom-Unity, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Star's producer, Ryota Niitsuma, offered a few details on how the wireless networking mode will work for the game.

It's a pretty light read, but if you're excited about the game it's worth looking over. Here's a grab.

Because it will be against Nintendo's regulations and policies, I can't mention too many details, but basically, it's about matching those with good connection and the one that is not as good, determining transmission speed, and nailing down where it is the most appropriate to develop and implement the online battle mode while we figure out the development restrictions that we have.

Through a long testing process with extensive trial and error, we were able to make it happen, so it would be great if you could try and test it when the game is released.

if this games online matchmaking fails it will be the last online wii game ever. But if it's a complete success it will prove nintendo can do it right. Im hoping to see many future online wii titles.

Nigga what? Online play is a huge selling point, even if the sh!t sucks developers will shove it in there for the rest of forever.

I really have no clue why they want to release this game on the Wii. That console is on the decline, the gimmic has worn out it's welcome. There's not much about this game that makes it look current gen and not just like a PS2.5 game.

How about scraping all of this Wii business and put together a HD Version for PS3/XB360 release.

I could go on forever defending how the Wii is a casual gamer playground but since when were serious fighting game fans considered "casual".

--- I say Merry Christmas ---

@ xbanditx

STFU, And play your Super Street Fighter IV next year you craving bitch. The f*cking game was made on wii-hardware so it's easier to port plus their budget was limited to do it. The wii does support arcade sicks.Do some research and you'll see the amount of wii consoles that has been sold. Eventually you'll get this game in the near future for ps3 & x360.

@guile is a joke
dont be a troll because the game is not on your system im sure you will get your chance to play it in a year when they port it and no one cares.

Capcom said several times that the 360 & PS3 are to different from the WII to bother with a direct port. If they ever decide to add TvC to those systems it would be an completely new game like TvC2, because they claim it would take an equal amout of work.
