VideoGamer.com's hands-on preview of Super Street Fighter 4 VideoGamer.com has a new hands-on preview of Super Street Fighter 4, with some interesting information inside. While a lot of it recaps rumors from around the web, there are some solid gameplay details too.

This website doesn't have the best reputation for getting things accurate and the game is still in development, so keep that in mind while you're reading through this piece. Here's a grab.

In short, Juri is fantastic. Her high priority crouching light and mid kicks can easily be cancelled into special moves, which can then lead to juggled Ultras. She's one of the fastest characters in Street Fighter history. She's got a counter and a wall juggle, and her Ultra potential is up there with Ryu's. So what are her weaknesses? At the moment, there aren't many. She's not great on the defensive, has no invincible move, and her only real anti-air is her Ultra. Still, I reckon that before the game is released, Capcom will reduce her damage output and stamina so she'll do less damage and take more. One thing I'm absolutely fascinated to discover: will the Korean Juri prove popular with Japanese players?

Not Having The Invincible movement can be very detrimental for fighting! When Juri is trapped by corner how will she be escaping from this trap?
This trap is very difficult for escaping when no invincible moves are given. I have played Vega for fun sometimes and when He Is In Corner there are many problems for him!

@2 it could be relative to the game's overall speed.

Do the Japanese really care about a character's background or appearance this much? I'm sure if the westerners brought their prejudices over gameplay the black characters would be a lot less popular than they are, on SF2, SF3 and SF4.

IMBA! two moves easily cancel into a special move then into ultra damn i take that anytime over invincibility. AND no you dont need invincibility to wake up from a knock down.!.

@#5

it's not her nationality it's her attacks which mix it up and bring the slight elena feel into the game

Let's see... a "fast" character with little defense, bad anti-air and no real DP options? Sounds suspiciously like Vega... according to both Justin and Joe, she seems to be pretty bad, but I mean... they're experts, but obviously... they're no VideoGamer.com. XD

@8: She's so weak because her second Ultra is a Genei-Jin-alike. Yun wasn't anything special either.

I thought Ono said there would be no Genei-Jin-like ultras. And Yun is top tier in 3rd strike. That is special.

@10

My spider sens is telling me that it was a sarcasm...

Their are no non-damage Ultras because it doesn't fit the revenge theme. According to Ono.

What's with this group of players that just want SF4 to be more like 3rd Strike. 3S wasn't that great.

looks like they've toned down juri's ultra...
and dee jays, but not t hawks.

I hope juri/deejay aren't too strong.
I want them to be well balanced.

I don't care about t hawk.
Lame character.

well I like T. Hawk and think DJ is lame. Its all a matter of preferences. I want all characters to be as balanced as possible. (I'm looking at you Sagat)
