Marvel vs. Capcom 2 TE stick hits on Nov. 18
Things have been pretty quiet on the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Tournament Edition FightStick front, but it turns out they'll be a Gamestop exclusive and released on November 18th for $159.99 according to this picture from the Capcom-Unity Twitter account.

I WOULD have gotten it... but it's a tad expensive compared to the awesome 129.99 deal I got for the SFIV TE stick on Amazon. But I seriously cannot deny how awesome it looks...

anyone who would consider buying this must not have-a-dick because wow

what terrible colors.

This stick is an insult to serious players everywhere. MadCatz or CapCom seriously thinks that us Marvel players are dumb enough to buy a Japanese stick for Marvel? Everybody knows that Marvel is waaaaaaaaaay better on US sticks. Come on guys, we're not mindless idiots who fall for this crap!
Posted by Some Guy on November 9, 2009 at 10:16 p.m. #5
Damn, they bumped it up $10 from the SFIV TE? For the extra $10 this thing better blow me while caressing my drooping shaven sack.

femme fatale and round 2 sticks more pretty

That's not a HAPP stick Capcom.

Original TE stick still looks the best, with the Vewlix styling. Otherwise just pick up a HRAP3SA.
Posted by ahsrichard on November 10, 2009 at 12:13 a.m. #9
what a joke, they expect people gonna fool again and buy the same stick but different artwork.
Posted by Lol. on November 10, 2009 at 12:51 a.m. #10
Holy hell, $160.
Gamestop is a joke, fck 'em. If I was rich as sht, I'd buy them out just to shut them down personally.

The artwork does look pretty busy...my main gripe is who plays Marvel with a Japanese stick? P360 is the only way to go for Marvel!
Posted by wat on November 10, 2009 at 5:13 a.m. #12
Wtf, they release an MvC2 stick thats not Happ?
Wtf is this.
Posted by omnia on November 10, 2009 at 8:07 a.m. #13

Can anyone elaborate as to why Marvel is better played on a US stick than on a JP one? No, I'm not being a smartass, I really want to know. What's the difference between US & JP sticks? :o
Posted by Jeremy on November 10, 2009 at 9:25 a.m. #15
Japanese sticks are fine for marvel. It's just top US players have always used american sticks because that's what's available for DC and US cabinets use American sticks obviously.
My friend and I came up playing Marvel in California competitively and ever since online xbox came out, we got used to Sanwa sticks and now cannot go back anymore. I've talked to some top players that have also used the TE (sanwa stick) and they said it's the best stick they've ever played on.
It all comes down to preference.

I'd buy it.. I don't see what's wrong about it??
Whatdo you guys think about fightstick collecting...??
That's be dope....

Happ/iL sticks are stiffer and return to neutral more quickly. Also, they can take more abuse that comes with Marvel.
Posted by zenken on November 10, 2009 at 2:04 p.m. #18
#17 is correct. Getting to neutral in Marvel is important, especially for a character like Sentinel, who NEEDS to hit neutral fast so he can do fastfly combos.
Also, Happ buttons are more mash-friendly, considering they last longer. Mashing AHVB, Ouroborus, or Hail on Sanwa buttons will probably kill the buttons in a short amount of time.
Posted by ahvb on November 10, 2009 at 2:11 p.m. #19
no need to mash too tuff man take it easy there is a limit to the amount you can throw out so quickly tapping is ideal not MASHING!!!!!

Anyone know if this thing is swap able on parts? because if it is most of your guys complaints really don't matter
Posted by PSN Greylynx on November 10, 2009 at 2:54 p.m. #25
I see screws on that picture robbles (22) posted meaning you can probably open that up and customize with Sanwa parts.
anyway I'll probably buy standard edition sf4 stick
Posted by :D on November 10, 2009 at 2:55 p.m. #26
Why would you want to its sexy!
Posted by stop whining on November 10, 2009 at 2:59 p.m. #27
yeah the stick is super expensive but be real ppl it looks awesome performs great (i've used one)and #24 you can swap out the parts just like the TE because heck it is a TE but the new "paint job" is nice.
Posted by PSN Greylynx on November 10, 2009 at 3:05 p.m. #28
#27
then why not just get the SF4 TE for 10 bucks less? 40 bucks on amazon? or even the SF4 SE?
Posted by striderzer0 on November 10, 2009 at 5:50 p.m. #29
the thing about TE sticks is that you cant swap HAPP parts easily. the best you can to is to change the gate, and the spring. So this stick probably not worth it if you want american parts. You are better off with a custom.

You'd seriously pay that much money for the same stick with some different artwork slapped on it? There is no reason for anyone to buy this stick, considering that you could switch the artwork on the regular TE to what's on that one, and this is the most expensive stick that I've ever seen.
Do yourself a favor and pick up a $100 HRAP 3 or $129 TE stick instead.

I agree with (Some Guy # 5) that thing better suck me off like no other for that $ price $ and the fact you could build a way better laser or magnetic joystick for half the price with help from internet purchases, home depot, and your buddy's soldering iron!
Posted by BJ Pennis on November 11, 2009 at 11:37 a.m. #32
Seriously, if I pay $159.99+tax for this, it better me blow me dry like a hair dryer.
It better blow me away like a tornado.

We got ours in today. Date is 11/20, but there not street dated. Have to see if I can buy them tomorrow :)

A SF4 SE modded with Seimitsu would be better for MvC2 than this stick.

Can I swap out my Sanwa joystick for a Happ on my TE? and if so, can I swap the bat top on the Happ for a ball top?
