I love that new tournament bracket thing. Although these results are old, it makes the videos make a lot more sense when you can check out the bracket/who played which character.
THANKS FOR THIS!

Sanford's Cammy is always a treat to watch

1 Day I hope To Beat Justin Wong when he is using Rufus or Fei Long and I am to be using Ken (my main fighting) or maybe even Blanka (my second top main fighting).
I hope to be invited to EVO next year so to show the world how much I have progressed.
Posted by Yoshi13 on November 8, 2009 at 4:27 a.m. #5
Justin Wong is good.
Next tournament he should try wiping the floor with Dan. He clearly did so with Fei Long.
Posted by wipe my balls on November 8, 2009 at 4:40 a.m. #6
The commentator on the finals video is a douche. epic fail.
Posted by chanz on November 8, 2009 at 4:43 a.m. #7
I know Just Wong is very good I Was just saying that one day I hope to be in the place where my skills are more good than his and I hope That One day is next time at EVO. I practice every day not just with Ken but also with Blanka and my secret 3rd fighting main that I Will keep secret for now so I may be unexpected.
I was meaning no offence to Just Wong, I Am Sure he would play very good with fighter Dan.

Great matches but the commentators are pretty bad.
Posted by Jagi on November 8, 2009 at 6:09 a.m. #9
Finally got around to watching Justin and Marn's one-and-out performance at SBO 09. They had a nasty first round matchup (a top 25 Sagat and the best Rufus in Japan), and Wong looked great with Boxer. Destroyed the Sagat, but Marn got his ass kicked in the Rufus mirror and then Justin barely lost.
Newfound respect for the guy. He can hang fine with the top Japanese players. The only problem is that asinine best-of-1 system they use in Japanese tournaments; American players have never played these people before, and have no time to adapt to their game. If we used that format over here, Wong would've beaten Daigo every single time.
Posted by NO on November 8, 2009 at 6:22 a.m. #10
Jagi, Justin just lost to Daigo 10-2 @ Bar fights II, so No.

Sorry, I meant Seasons Beatings.

#9 Ur an idiot.
Sanford's Cammy is BEASTLY!!!
Posted by @10 on November 8, 2009 at 7:09 a.m. #13
In a FT1, Wong would've picked Fei. Hence "never played these people before, and have no time to adapt to their game."

awesome vids, thanks
but I agree with 6&8 i really cannot stand the commentators...Chris Hu's commentary FTW
Posted by Nathan on November 8, 2009 at 7:58 a.m. #15
This is a really great idea. I hope you guys keep it up for awhile, because the visual aid really does make the videos have more specific importance.

Chris Hu is hillarous
Posted by HoP on November 8, 2009 at 9:36 a.m. #19
I like Chris Hu, but most other guys don't add anything at all to the matches.

Gettin' salty in here!
Sodium levels is risin'!
It's amusing the first time, but you can't just keep using these phrases over and over and expect people to laugh.
Posted by :P on November 8, 2009 at 10:07 a.m. #20
The whole "salty" thing was boring before it even started.
Rahsaan is a douche as a commentator. The others are fine.
Posted by lol on November 8, 2009 at 10:16 a.m. #21
Andre Lambert not "Foney"
foney was a masking term for money match in some titles
Posted by nuts to your opinion on November 8, 2009 at 10:33 a.m. #22
Justin Fei-Long is good but the commentator are sucking his D1ck way too f*cking much each time he plays you can't even enjoy the match with those stupid comments they better learn how to be neutral
Posted by what? on November 8, 2009 at 10:59 a.m. #23
how are they sucking his d1ck when they taunt him with Daigo remarks all day?
Posted by shinmaster on November 8, 2009 at 11:23 a.m. #24
how predictable was justin in the final i could tell he was going 2 jump before he did jump and dhalsim didnt seem much good either justins very overrated
Posted by Joseph on November 8, 2009 at 11:42 a.m. #25
I think Sanford's Cammy and Arturo's Seth were the highlight of the whole tourney. Jwongs Fei was impressive as well.
Posted by Excuses on November 8, 2009 at 11:50 a.m. #26
After the tournament Arturo said he knew he was gonna lose to Justin because he doesnt know the console characters.. Even tho he uses Seth.. Other than that he still had about 5-6 matches with justin to adapt...
From what I always see from Arturo is that he is very slow at adapting his game and uses a lot of the same methods. Hes also very clumsy , the one match he had against Rico Abel he accidently uses his super after a shoryuken.. All i want to point out is that hes a professional gamer and then this crap.
Posted by jhendrix on November 8, 2009 at 11:57 a.m. #27
funny enough i agree with shinmaster wong and these other guys r very good players but iam sure there is thousands of ppl that whould beat his fei easy that just play online.

ITS GETTING SO STARCHY IN HERE. O DAM I THINK HE'S GETTING LEMONS.
Posted by Soul Hoe on November 8, 2009 at 2:18 p.m. #30
Commentary was really good IMO. Chris Hu was funny IMO. Killing people's dogs is bad, and inspires hate IMO.
Posted by Zero on November 8, 2009 at 2:20 p.m. #31
It's far far away from the level of Japanese matches (except Wong maybe).
Anyway, let's hope SSF4 will have an arcade release there to see what they'll do with console fighters (and new fighters as well), even if Iyo and Shiro have just decided to leave the pro fighting scene...
Posted by hm on November 8, 2009 at 4:07 p.m. #32
its funny how they had to dumb down sf4 to capture a bigger audience, i'd like to see what would happen if they re-released 3s, more than half wouldn't be able to cope with the speed or the parrying.
Posted by Non Disclosure Agreement on November 8, 2009 at 4:12 p.m. #33
We're just going to have to put up with the biased, inaccurate commentary.
It due to the fact that they are over-compensating, lacking substance where it matters.
Perhaps one day they will win something worth winning.
Perhaps one day they will beat someone worth beating.
And then do it again ten times, to come even close to the level other countries are at.
Hopefully before the sun goes down or the next leap year is upon us.
Lots of higher level competition happening around Asia (no, not Japan)

wow this is old
how about all the loosers complaining about commentators just shut the hell up, every match with commentary u guys hate except for that stereotype ultra asian fob with gimicky accent chris hu, who i cant stand
they are fans of the game not professional commentators and made these events happen, so just shut the hell up already or just stop watching.

Hmmm what doesn't Sanford stick with Cammy?
From watching the vids, he clearly has some freakish edge with her since shes a console

I dare someone to tell me Seth is boring after watching Arturo play. That match was hype!
Posted by what on November 8, 2009 at 8:11 p.m. #43
Yeah, a US player making the not knowing console characters excuse when he's one of the best at a console character. Makes real sense.

sanford a monkey
Posted by silly on November 8, 2009 at 11:04 p.m. #45
@ #43:
It can make sense actually. You can be one of the few to learn a console character (Sabin's Seth) and still not have the experience to play a high-level console character (Wong's Fei). Perhaps he played a few Fei Long scrubs online but in the hands of Justin Wong, it's a whole other story.
Posted by chanz on November 8, 2009 at 11:39 p.m. #46
much of the commentary did not make sense but sometimes it is good to know some reactions of other people instead of just my own.
That is Why comments on webpages like this webpage are very good to expose us all to other reactions for people we would not Otherwise know.

Salt metaphors are old and lame...
In other news, Chris Hu for president.
That is all

lol at the commentator who said "see Justin Wong is so predictable. That's why Daigo beat him 10-2". I would like to see him play J Wong and see how he plans to beat him since he's so predictable.
Half the time they talk nonsense and go "oh, ooh, OHH!!"
Embarrassing stuff to listen to really.

Its no wonder the East Coast scene is small and dieing. The same 8 dickheads keep playing one another over and over and not helping out the new comers. Say what you will about west coast players but at least they're a community who helps one another out and teaches. These guys are buried up to their necks in their own "i'm so great" bulls&^t.

Arturo 'spik' Sanchez. What a fag. Get owned Dhalsim range scrub.

Am I the only one who finds Chris Hu soo flipping annoying I guess I am. @49 If West Coast helps out each other why do they all suck at the game as for East coast it aint dying just getting bigger Fuk yall haters.
Posted by Tigga on November 9, 2009 at 7:25 p.m. #54
Good final match BUT
These commentators need to stop sucking J Wong's dick and get back to selling bricks. They can't do commentary for sh*t.
Posted by On Arturo on November 10, 2009 at 4:41 p.m. #55
if your saying it makes sense that it does make sense and arturo does not know fei long.. It doesnt matter, he had 5-7 matches whatever, to play against Justin's Fei long, and Adapt.. Adapt. Hes a professional gamer, right? I'm just not a fan of Arturo and his never changing methods, and bad execution.
Just because he went to Japan and beat some probably Japanese players who play SF on the side, he gets spoken so highly of.
