Rumor: Arcade release of SSF4 before consoles
A Twitter post from Arcade Infinity states that there will be an arcade release of Super Street Fighter 4 and it will hit before the console versions.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Arcade Infinity, it's located in Southern California and regarded as one of the best arcades in the nation.
It attracts top players like Ed Ma, Mike Ross and Gootecks, among others and hosts some major events.
So while this shouldn't be taken as official confirmation that the arcade release of Super Street Fighter 4 will happen before the console versions hit in the Spring of 2010, this statement isn't coming from some random anonymous person on the Internet.
On the contrary, the owners seem to be fairly well plugged in with the arcade scene in Japan, and it's not much of a stretch that they'd hear this before other news outlets, considering they specialize in this area.
Regardless, Capcom hasn't even made it official that there will be a Super Street Fighter 4 arcade release, although recent statements seem to strongly imply that their initial comment that an arcade version, "wouldn't happen at all," was a ways off base.
Only time will tell here, but since Capcom has done multiple arcade location tests and used this feedback to balance and improve their fighting games in the past — and this formula seems to be very successful — it seems odd they'd break away from it now.

Not surprising that they claimed no Arcade just to get people talking.
Even bad publicity is good publicity right?

I was so happy, that I'll be able to start playing the game at the same time the rest of the world does, but it seems I1ve been let down again.

You feel let down because arcade players can play earlier? even though this has no bearing on you whatsoever?

1) First, release it on console; 2) Patch it to fix glitches and balance issues; 3) Then, release it for arcade

Ok lets see SF4 arcade was released NOV.2008 (In American Arcades). Console release FEB.2009. Well is they stick to the to the time line SSF4 American Arcade Release should be in DEC.2009 Console release MAR.2010. That's about right just in time for California Regionals.
P.S. Please stop with the Balance BULLS**T. This is the most BALANCE STREET FIGHTER EVER.
They will always be TOP TIER AND BOTTOM TIER

Do Arcade Machines Get updates or are all the glitches still there?
Posted by Capcom doing things right on November 1, 2009 at 10:17 a.m. #15
@#14 They don't have many glitches in SF4 so what glitches are you talking about if you don't mind me asking? Keep in mind that online lagging and the fact that it takes 15min to find a match is not a glitch just server problems or it may be you home connection. (A glitch would be Gambit going off screen in Marvel vs Capcom 2 that's a true glitch)
Scrap that there are no glitches in SF4 just back connection's, and no Arcade machines don't not have bugs. (Except Marvel Machines)

@#12
US didn't have an American arcade release. That's how dumb and incorrect you are.
They just randomly imported it and can do so anytime after the Jap release.
What's it feel like to spew garbage from your mouth?

Let hope they don't mean that they will put a PS3 or Xbox360 in to their arcade cabinets and claim they are arcade release. I know many arcade in China do that.
