Christian Svensson came back to provide some answers as to why they're keeping things on the down low regarding the PC version of Street Fighter IV, and he also chimed in on why they didn't make the game in 1080p resolution. Why are details about the PC version of Street Fighter 4 being kept quiet? The XBox 360 and PS3 games have been out for awhile.
Sven: There's several things we haven't talked about... what else is in the box (if anything)? What online service is supported? What DRM (if any)? What e-distribution partners will carry it? Who is our hardware partner(s)? Are there any other surprises?
All of these are PC specific things that will be revealed as we move through the marketing cycle for this SKU.
Why didn't you make SF4 in full 1080p resolution?
Will: My understanding is that rarely are console games actually native 1080p. Generally, they're 720p, then upscaled to 1080p. In the case of 360 vs. PS3, the 360 has an upscaler built in where as the PS3 does not, yet it's debatable if that even makes a difference, considering that your TV will automatically upscale an image to fit on the screen. That unsophisticated upscaling is essentially all the 360 does anyways.
Sven: Yep. This [is correct].
