Laugh on the Shoryuken.com message boards
mentioned early today that he heard Yoshinori Ono say Capcom is working on a World Street Fighter 4 Tournament, which would involve one top player each from Korea, Japan, Europe and America.
This World Tournament is supposed to happen the same day as the end of the U.S. National Finals, April 18, 2009.
Iyo, the infamous Dhalsim player, is said to be representing Japan and recent winner, Poongko, would be coming from Korea.
No word yet on who the European player would be, but Guinness World Record holder
Zak Bennett might be in the running.
In other news, Seth Killian posted a
round 3 recap from the GameStop tournament and Shroyuken.com has some information about a
few spots open for Americans in Super Battle Opera '09.
