New site feature: Street Fighter artwork galleries

New site feature: Street Fighter artwork galleries

We've launched a new feature on the site today, Street Fighter artwork galleries. You can also find a permanent link to this after the forums tab on the top of the site.

This is, to our knowledge, the largest collection of high quality strictly Street Fighter-related artwork on the Internet, as there's a character gallery up for every playable fighter in the majority of the core Street Fighter games, from Street Fighter 1 through 4, the Alpha titles and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

Everything has been sorted and categorized to make it easy to find artwork for a particular character or game. Also the images in these galleries are fairly large in size, so you won't find any 80x80 images, instead you'll see mostly high resolution pictures up to 1,600 pixels in size.

We decided mainly to focus on the official Capcom artwork, but with time this area will also branch out to cover other Capcom fighters, including more vs. games and it will also start to gather fan-created pieces.

The images have all been posted without watermarks, so you don't have to worry about logos showing up when you want to use one of these images as your forum avatar, desktop wallpaper, etc. Also, if it seems a bit overwhelming to browse through all of these images, the artwork frontpage includes a photo loader, which will pick 8 random images from our galleries to display for you every time you visit, or refresh, the page.

This was a gigantic project that saw a lot of blood, sweat, tears and Mountain Dew, so we're hoping you enjoy the new area.

Looking Good.
Almost rivals the Fighter's Generation character archive.

One Request: Where's the bad ass group picture from HD Remix? Where everyone's in an alley or something. Also, isn't there an Alpha picture that looks similar?

There is a problem: the Artwork button is under the News button and gets covered by the blue background.
My screen resolution is 1280*1024 and I'm using Firefox: hope you can fix it.
Also, thanks for adding this feature: I've been searching for the 3rd strike portraits for a long time and I never found anything hi-res; they look stunning, too bad Makoto's portrait is missing.
