Before Mad Catz and Capcom teamed up to release the FightSticks, Hori was largely considered to be one of the best companies you could buy a joystick from, if you didn't want to go the custom route.
Hori recently announced that they would be releasing two new joysticks this October for the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3, adding some new products to their Real Arcade Pro line.
The
XBox 360 Real Arcade Pro EX-SE is a stick built with Seimitsu parts. While Sanwa has generally been the standard for most players, Seimitsu parts have gathered a good amount of followers as well, because their sticks have a different feel, and some people swear by them. You can grab one of these for $139.99 on October 19, 2009.
Also there will be a
PlayStation 3 version for $119.99, released on the same day, but this will instead use Sanwa parts, the same as you'd find in the Mad Catz Tournament Edition FightStick.
Both of these are priced for a bit under what you would pay for a Tournament Edition stick, so if you're looking to find a quality alternative you should check out both of these products when they're released in October.
