Seth Killian was on the Unity Boards letting people know an announcement for the SFIV Championship Mode update should be out there "soon." He also jumped in on a few other topics like the HD Remix patch and customizable costume packs. When will we hear more about the PC version of Street Fighter IV and the Championship Mode update?
Seth: SFIV PC has a little un-discussed juice yet to reveal -- stay tuned.
Also stay tuned for Championship Patch news (you have to stay tuned less long on that one, I think -- like maybe not very long at all...)
Is there some reason I'm allowed to choose "all" for number of rounds or amount of time in custom match, but not two out of the three kinds of rounds/time allotments? — TongariDan
Seth: That option isn't planned for the patch so far as I know. I see where you're coming from, but I think the search offerings were just derived from your own match-setting options, so you can find any particular configuration, but they didn't add subsets that group some configurations (but not all).
While I also prefer best of 3 or 5 matches, and avoid 1 round matches (especially in ranked), I don't really have too much of a problem just avoiding the 1 rounders on the list. They seem to me to be a relatively small minority, so not clicking on them doesn't really require extra work.
PS- this is a pretty minor complaint, yeah?
Will there be another Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix patch to address these issues?
Seth: We are aware of and investigating these issues now. In the meantime, I hope we can agree that the recent patch was a major improvement and that the things on this list do not constitute experience-ruining oddities, yeah?
Would it be possible to have customizable costume packs for Street Fighter IV?
Seth: I understand the question and it would be cool, but there are no plans for that right now.
It costs money to post sale-able packs on XBL and PSN. I'm not sure how a configurable pack would work exactly, in terms of actually setting it up, but I highly doubt it would be cost-effective (since I think it would count as all the possible combinations instead of 1 "configurable" pack). If you post an unpopular piece of DLC that doesn't sell on XBL and PSN, it's quite possible to lose money on it, believe it or not.
