Official results from the SF4 character poll

Ever wonder how the final results for the "Which character would you most like to see in Street Fighter 4" ended up? We all know that Cammy won, but Seth Killian filled us in on the rest.

Confirmed characters are in bold.

Here are the full results, however basing any expectations about more SFIV characters on the placing of the finishers would be... unwise. As I think I said someplace (maybe it was at the Comic-Con panel?), Cammy crushed the competition:

1. Cammy - 43%

2. Sakura - 15%

3. Dan - 12%

4. Fei Long - 8%

5. Ibuki - 7%

5. Hugo - 7%

6. Dee Jay - 4%

T. Hawk - 1%

It's interesting to note that the 1st, 3rd and 4th place finishers are all confirmed for the console release of the game — which seriously makes you wonder if Sakura will be in it — despite Seth's disclaimer.

Lame. Sakura brings absolutely nothing new to the table when it comes to move sets and play styles. We have ryu, ken, akuma, dan for sure. And with the rumors of gouken and sakura surfacing, that makes 6 shoto characters.

What ever happened to the first poll where dudley won?

There are plenty of great characters in the street fighter series with interesting and unique move sets and play styles. Capcom just wants to blame the fact that street fighter 3 was a market failure on the characters, when the truth is it was marketing and the first 2 half-assed versions that caused it to fail.

I think SF3 failed because of what Ono was talking about. The game was too advanced for low level players. You gotta have a starting point so lesser players can join in, but still appeal to high level players.

How many low level players tried playing SF3 much? You hardly saw any compared to the other SF games.

Easy to learn, impossible to master. That's how games should be made.

I was expecting Fei Long to have a higher percentage, but hey, atleast he made it in regardless.(It still baffles me that Dan got more votes... I guess I'm not the only one that likes Joke characters)

Fei Long is what street fighter needs right now. everyone likes playing with a Bruce Lee like character! i cant wait to see him
