Gilley from the SRK boards recorded a video showing how to Focus Attack through a projectile with Ken while doing a Kara move.

This is a technique only advanced players will probably use, but I can see a lot of potential in getting around your opponent's fireball traps.

This is done by pressing towards and Medium Kick then Medium Punch, holding the buttons so your Focus Attack comes out and then releasing the buttons and Dashing towards.

It lets you "parry" through attacks very quickly, giving you much better range.
