Capcom discusses home releases of SF4
Capcom's Sven has offered up more details on the home releases of Street Fighter 4.
-
• They're still investigating the possibility of letting PC and XBox 360 players fight each other online.
• The PC release of SF4 will trail the console versions by a few months.
• Releasing via Steam is a possibility, but it's not part of their current agreement with Valve.
• When the XBox 360 version is complete, it will run better and faster than the arcade release.
• PC owners will be able to crank up the settings if they have better hardware.
• The arcade version uses a dual core processor and a Geforce 7900 GS.

Gonna have to upgrade my computer to play this, but it will be worth it. Especially if I can play against XBox people.

I love the mixed message that 'certain' sources are giving about the home version. First we here the amazing news that the arcade version runs on the Geforce 7900 dual core - and then we hear that the home version will be 'better and faster' than the arcade version!!!
Lets get this right:
- The home version will not have IC Card feature stats like the arcade
- The home version, MAY not have the same network play (NESYS) features like the arcade
- The home version (bar the PC) will have to be limited to the performance of the consoles
- The home version will only support the joypads (the news on the arcade sticks has been dropped off the JP web site)
It is this building up the home release that gets me, all those false rumors about a 2008 release, or claimed home version appearances at E3 or GC. And with all this we still get the same old mantra that "the home version will be better!!!" Get a life guys.

"When the XBox 360 version is complete, it will run better and FASTER than the arcade release."
why the heck would you want to make one version of the game faster than another? so when you go play at the arcade to show off your skills your timing is all messed up?
