Mad Catz to make SF4 line of controllers

Mad Catz will be creating an official line of controllers for Street Fighter 4, along with a few other Capcom games.

It will be interesting to see how these turn out as officially branded controllers are hit and miss many times.

Here's a blurb from the press release.

“This is a real collaboration between Mad Catz and Capcom,” said Germaine Gioia, senior vice president, licensing, Capcom. “We are developing a broad variety of game peripherals for a wide game-playing audience -- from the casual to the most loyal, core fan. These innovative peripherals will maximize the overall experience that comes from playing Capcom games.”

You know, Madcatz does decent stuff. These controllers might be good. I remember Capcom had a 6 button pad for the SNes that was really cool. It had like a gun handle grip and stuff.

Anyone remember that? Who made that?

I think it's called the Soldier controller. Actually, not a bad little bad, but I much prefer the Sega Saturn pad. That's like the best pad ever.

The newer model one, not the one that shipped in the 1st generation. The newer model was great for fighters.
