Rumor: Akuma may be unlocked in SF4 on Aug. 15

FuguTabetai on the Shoryuken.com message boards translated the latest entry from the SF4 blog.

The rumor floating around is that beating Seth in grand fashion will unlock Akuma, but only after August 15th.

This might be a stretch though, but here's the translation so you can judge for yourself.

Street Fighter 4 is going to get pretty hot too!! It's coming, it's coming. Something will happen on 8/15. Something that lots of fans have been waiting for is coming this way!!

It's been a month since the machines went out. I think you've all got in a lot of practice with your favorite character. Now you'll really get to test your skill! Give a testament to the experience, skills, and courage that you've piled up!!

Aim for it, Seth! Defeat him, Seth! And then, the thing that you've been waiting for... Nothing special will happen for a simple halfhearted battle. So, there's only three more days till it happens. So give it your best and Fight!

This has got to be Akuma! Or Gouki or whatever you want to call him.

He's featured so much in the cartoon trailers for the game, he's got to play a big part in SF4.

Unless it's Gouken. Ryu and Ken's master is featured a lot in those anime trailers too. It would be ironic and kind of poetic for EGM's old April Fool's Sheng Long trick to finally unlock Gouken.

i think the creators gave seth some of ryu's(reeee-u)powers like the dragon uppercut.also they did not want to steal neither Urien or Gill's look.thats why they made a eyeball in his stomach.I fogot the name of the sf(street fighter)game that had urien and gill in it but here's a hint.youtube search[ryu vs. gill]or[urien vs. gill].gill and urien are brothers like gouki(go-key)(Akuma) and gouken.Also i think sf4 will be coming out in U.S no later then 12/31/2009.
