Below you'll find a graphic listing of each character's stamina (health) ranking in Street Fighter X Tekken. Each fighter received 370 points of damage and a screen capture of their lifebar was taken.
This not only gives you a number to go off of, but a visual reference as well, showing you how much of a beating these characters can, or cannot, take.

Toro, Kuro, And Cole arent that bad, if you know how to use them
Does anyone else finds it weird that poisons health is between the males and females?
Seems well balanced except for Cole though. I guess there must be something very good about him no one has found out yet.
Is Cole really that powerful? :/
Yay, Julia has average health!
#9
why do people subtly complain about the females having lower health than the males?
can your average female fighter in real life withstand the punishment that the average male fighter can? no.
so why act like it you have grounds to start complaining about this thing in a fighting game? smh @ this kind of BS.
I'm sure a trained female fighter could withstand the same abuse as a similarly trained male fighter, saying otherwise is ignorant in every way. The only reason people think otherwise is because they have this "All women are frail" mindset. Do I think a normal woman could take the same hits as a trained boxer? No; do I think a normal man could either? No again. Health should be based on balance, and shown here it really isn't. This isn't just a complaint (which wasn't subtle really) about male to female health differences, but balance issues as well. Someone with a 480 damage combo will K.O. most of the female cast, not so with most of the male cast.
A trained female fighter will not be able to take as much punishment as a trained male fighter simply on the virtue of simply physics.
Males, on average, have more more mass to apply directional force than females. More mass usually means the male can take more physical punishment.
It has nothing to do with training. A trained woman weighing in at 120-130 pounds will be unable to take the same amount of punishment of a similarly trained male weighing in at 140-150 pounds.
Akuma always has had low health to make up for his high damage. Cole is the same thing basically. The thing is that female characters often also have lower damage output in addition to the lower health.
Cammy and Sakura for instance both have low damage but thankfully have really good frame advantage and good comboability. But individual hits are weakish.
I just wanna know why Capcom has changed their stance so much. Third Strike wasn't like that at all. Makoto was tied with Alex/Ken/Dudley/Q For 3rd most health. Chun Li and Elena both had the same amount of health as Ryu, Oro, and Necro. Yet come SF4 Chun suddenly has to drop down to 900health while Ryu goes to 1000. Makoto drops to 950 health when she used to have MORE health than Ryu.
Aaaaah one day we'll have over 850 for old Gouki :( ha
Why do girls always have less health than males in games?
@14
This isnt real life, this IS a game so theres not really any excuse to give them lower health. Seems they always give females less health and damage but tend to make them faster and more athletic than males.
Lol... You are so funny guys...
Maybe the girls have less life cuz they are... better? Just think about it, Nina is annouced to be one of the best in the game with Lili, Juri is really good too in this game and Ibuki has a HUGE amount of combo/set up abilities... I don't know much about Xyaoyu but she looks decent too. And Cammy/Chun-Li/Dhalsim ALWAYS had less life then the average in the latest games...
So before thinking that Capcom is sexist and screaming SCANDAL, think about it.
Proof? Julia has 1000 life. Why? Because it seems like she has good damage, but not a lot of option to go in!
http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capco...
I put a lot of info on the issue there.
Fun fact: Tekken all characters have 180 health. Regardless of sex or size.
Kof all characters have 1000health and 120stun
BlazBlue and Guilty Gear have many female characters with high defense. ABA and Baiken have among the best defense in the game for GGAC. Noel has significantly higher health than Ragna in BlazBlue.
Its just stereotyping males and females with males being more physically stronger and more built than females like in real life but females have a smaller frame and appear more agile and athletic than males. They do the same thing with RPG games with males having more HP and physical attack and females having more MP and magic attack.
Ok. Sakura, schoolgirl, frail, a beginner in comparison to veterans like Ryu and Ken, with lots of frame advantage and combos. Sounds like she should have lower health.
Cammy, very slim, small body, but very agile, as shown by her moveset, whilst also packing hard, hard damage and mixup potential. Sounds like she should have lower health.
Dhalsim. Slim, long ranged pokey pokey body, lacking the large physique that some characters have in the male cast. Gets the majority of his damage out before the opponent gets in, but has a big weakness of close proximity. Sounds like HE should have lower health.
Zangief and Hugo. Look at them. Do I need to justify that?
If they released a brutal female wrestler then sure, give her more health. Hell, release R.MIKA, she'll have 1000-1050 health. But making this point is really just petty- little angry kids finding something to moan about.
If everyone had the same hp it would be like "WTF, WHY DOES ZANGIEF HAVE THE SAME HP AS SAKURA? LOOK AT HIM."
Wow... Cole, Toro, Kuro, Mega Man and Pac-Man are WEAKER than Akuma ??? WTF is that BS ???
Look, I would have put Toro and Kuro at 900 each, Cole at 1,000 and Mega Man and Pac-Man at 1,050... seriously, what a joke. You know, in UMvC3, Pheonix, the lowest stamina character, had the moves and power to counter-balance that. Here, however, none of the 5 characters have that same strenght. They don't hit harder than the other characters and their special moves are equal to the other characters.
@41
Too powerful for what ? Tournaments ? You mean the events where they're BANNED ?
Seriously, if you gonna add exclusive characters, make them viable. Toro and Kuro have the same movesets as Ryu and Kazuya respectively... would it have killed them to make them as tough as the same characters. Same goes with Cole. He's a human with electric powers... I'm pretty sure he can take a hit for the best matial artist... and Cole isn't a slouch either.
Mega Man and Pac-Man can be used in tourneys, since they're no longer exclusive, but their staminas suck hard. Mega Man is fat and yet falls down to a flick... Pac-Man is controlling a Mokujin, which I don't recall being a glass cannon in the Tekken series.
I swear, they blew it up for the guest characters here...
You know what? How about we give EVERYONE 2000 health and shorten the timer to 10 seconds that way no one can win! This is STREET FIGHTER mechanics people, not (insert other fighter game), if you don't like then get the (CENSORED) out, stop playing, and have a nice day
It's all about balancing. If Akuma had the same health as Ryu and Ken he would basically be God-Tier in every game he was featured in.
THis is what characters stamina rank should've been:
1200:Hugo
1150:Zangeif, Kuma
1100: Ogre, Sagat
1050:Abel Balrog, Bob, Marduk, Paul, King, Rufus,Kazuya
1000: Heihachi, Hworang, Jin, Julia, Ken, King, Law, Bison, Rolento, Ryu, Steve, Cole, Pac-Man,Guile
950: Asuka,Chun-Li, Cammy, Vega, Poison, Yoshimitsu,Mega Man
900: Dhalsim, Juri, Nina,Xiaou, Lili, Ibuki, Raven
850:Akuma
750: Toro, Kuro
Chun LI's stamina rank should be 950 uin
BUt capcom did anyway:(
Since Chun Li is most popular capcom female fighter, capcom should've given her at least 950. ANd Guile should have 1000.
Nina deserves 950 as well...
Good or bad, there is a gender bias on the health rankings when all of you female characters (except one) is on the lower end of the health list (im excluding the ps3 characters.)It's ridiculous to say they deserve less because of reality, this game doesn't really focus on reality (i.e. Kuma and Hugo) Too say they deserve less because of combos is dumb as well, all you need is one good combo with one good hit and your pretty much set. A good fighting game focuses on mechanics, not if its believable. I'm not saying the stamina ranking decisions were completely based on looks and stereotypes (like akuma who looks hella scary yet has low low health) but to take a complete blind eye to the gender politics involved in something like this is stupid. I don't have so much an issue with the health rankings so much that I have an issue that archetypes and assumptions had anything to do with health when it should be an equalizer
I just did the work in training mode and found the Stamina rating for the 12 new characters.
Cody: 1,000
Guy: 1,000
Elena: 900
Dudley: 1,050
Blanka: 1,000
Sakura: 950
Lars: 1,000
Alisa: 1,000
Lei: 1,000
Christie: 900
Bryan: 1,050
Jack-X: 1,150
Sorry about the double post.
So now Julia and Alisa are tied for female character with highest stamina.
Unless you just want to consider Alisa a cyborg.
@48
Thanks a lot for your hard work on the health of the 12 DLC characters.
I actually picked up Julia when SFXT came out and I decided to playing Alisa when she came out. To my surprise, both of these girl characters have 1000 health! I'm so stoked about this find, and the fact that they're the only 2 girls that have 1000health!
Hope someone can post the DLC characters' frame data, hopefully someone works it out
@47
Please just save it! You aren't inherently worse off because you have lower than average HP. All that means is that you can't be brain dead when attacking with some of the speedier characters in the game.
You can't handle that go play another game in which all warriors are equalized in EVERYTHING.
Goodluck
A little off-topic, but just curious: What is the font used in the graphic listing? I think it looks cool and would like to download it.
When is the staff going to update this for version 2013? It still needs the dlc characters added.
