People are overestimating him, he's not gonna be an easy to use character, and more of a High Risk = High Reward character, its not that hard to rush down on him and his health is that near Sentinel so you can easily kill him.

All in all, im happy he's not OP

@6 he kind of has to spend the first stance doing nothing. He'll probably be low because it's easy to beat his weakness.

I think good assists, and the maya shield might help out with defending wright... this is just my thought you are free to bring upon me any ideas that may be against my thought.

Getting evidence and the terrible range of his normals are his biggest setbacks. However, you can get the evidence a few ways.

-Using good assists like Sentinel and Doom for example to cover you, along with Maya.
-Right after an air combo. You can call Maya's shield and/or at least grab a piece of solid evidence.
-Simply super jumping away and at least grabbing one piece of evidence since Phoenix picks it up so fast and recovers rather quickly.

However, you still have to be carefully blindly searching for evidence, as it's quite easy to punish the animation.

Phoenix Wright Maya assist are too awesome 0o0

Assist type light- maya sheild:

Pro:projectile & physical proctection & super armor & possible combo interruptions-

dash into the assist for full protection, can find evidence up to 2 times before maya finishes, and attack while your opponent doing combos against maya shield without getting any sort of damage.

Con:can easilly be grab in, slightly slow start up and No It CANNOT Block HYPERS.

Advice- use it at the beginning of battles and maybe used it in corners while rushed down for extra protection, if your confident.

Assist type medium & heavy:
maya fall (short)and maya trip (long):

Pro:hits low and slides, otg, Super armor and can interrupt ground combo streams.

Con:slow, very predictable at safe distances and easily be cross up and teleport around.

Advice- NEVER, EVER use this type of assist against fast/teleporting characters or assists.

Disclaimer: If any of this, in the future, doesn't work.

Please write better analysis of characters, like Phoenix Wright, and post it up online.

Legit evidence is the evidence you get that has the little folder light up behind it. If it doesn't light up, you don't have legit evidence.

Also yes, you do need 3 pieces of legit evidence to do his Level 3 (since it can only be done in Turnabout Mode).
Though a little word of advice, if you want to zone like a maniac in Turnabout Mode, make sure you get either the Cell Phone, the Knife, or both (I personally prefer the Cell Phone).

Phoenix Wright is my Number 1# character (sixth color). I always pair him up with chunli (assist y) because she can catch teleporters in front of you and if you have enough evidence you can land objection. Here is 4 basic things that all PW players need to know. 1. After ending a combo with an air launcher, when you land go into court mode and do "Order In The Court" for extra damage. 2. "Order In the Court" is completley invincible but you can be otg'd once Phoenix lands on the ground. 3. "Order In The Court" automatically gets rid of bad evidence. 4. When collecting evidence if you get bad evidence dont worry, all you need to do is keep the bad evidence and collect two more and you will always have one good evidence.
