Assist tiers for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

Listing by Nyoronoru

All of the non-Giant characters in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars have assists, but some are much better than others.

The list below outlines, in general, which fighters have the best assists in the game. Opinions differ depending on who you team your fighter up with though, as some assists work better with specific partners.

S Tier
Chun-Li, Polimar, Roll, Tekkaman
A Tier
Casshan, Mega Man, Morrigan, Ryu
B Tier
Alex, Batsu, Doronjo, Frank West, Ippatsuman, Joe the Condor, Jun the Swan, Ken the Eagle, Karas, Kaijin No Soki, Yatterman-2, Zero
C Tier
Saki, Tekkaman Blade, Viewtiful Joe, Yatterman-1

I knew Tekkaman and Polimar would be up there... Their assists = Easy Super set ups.

Yatterman-1's assist should be much, much higher, it makes for an almost as good combo extender as Ryu's assist midscreen

Think less in terms of combo extension and more of controlling space or a specific role. Every assist in the game can be used to extend a combo in one way or another. It's what else they can do that causes tier separation.

Currently, Yatterman's projectile assist covers a tiny amount of space, requires a specifically placed opponent, and does very little hitstun.

Yes, but I'd hardly call it the worst assist in the game

Well, the "worst" in TvC is still not bad. And by the way, I ordered it alphabetically in each section; people aren't ranked within each category.
