Given how there is a Thor movie in the works and Marvel would want to advertise it as much as they can i consider him to be certainty. In fact i consider all characters that will feature in Marvel comics movies and the up-coming Avengers ensemble to be in it :-)

I'm just hoping to find out who the dude in the cape is in the MARVEL logo silhouette is during EVO or Comic Con, is it Dr. Doom, Moon Knight, or Taskmaster?

I'm content with the characters thus far but as they've been quite strongly hinting, I'd LOVE to see tho in the game. Also, I personally believe, at least from the Spider-Man franchise that they should have him (with his alternate costumes being from his differet comic appearances or something or in a DLC pack with others)and a villain. Now, villains namely to me cost popular would be Green/Hob Goblin, Venom/Carnage, Dr. Octopus and Rhino (cuz he's another "large" character like Juggernaut). IMO I would DEF like it to come down between Green Goblin mostly but we shall see. All i know is that there will be some VERY nice surprises in store for us all! =]

I'm hoping that they'll be less Street Fighter & X-Men characters this time around, especially when characters from the Avengers have now gained a lot more popularity & that it'll have about 32-36 characters at the max. There should be no more than either 3 or 4 characters from each of those franchises.

Also, cut down on the obscure & all of the clone &/or palette swap characters, such as Ken, Akuma, Sakura, Dan, 2nd Wolverine, X-23, Marrow, Amingo, Sabretooth, War Machine, Charlie/Guile, etc.

PLEASE capcom PLEASE just put ken masters I'm getting sick n tired of using ryu all day just for the sheer fact of trying to picture ken ryu is not fast enough for the combos i got in my head

#17 - No. No more shotos/palette swap characters. There are far more characters out there in SF that are more deserving.

They want a diverse roster with characters that stand out as individuals so that the gameplay is fun and that characters that deserve a slot in the game because of their unique powers, skills, abilities, get their time to shine, so NO shotos/palette swap characters for MvC3.

They have limited character slots, over 30, and let's say Sakura, Ken, Dan, and Akuma are in the game, that's four clones that are taking up space from four more deserving characters like Jedah Juri, Mike Haggar, X, or any other character that would add something new and unique to the roster.

i really dont care about the other shotos actually they can go to hell the other shotos only has 3 three things in common hadoken shoryuken and the hurricane kick other than that they cant all do the same combos or same attributes but whateverr their gonna be dlc anyways

I just hope they go ahead and confirm if Spider Man and Captain Commando is in the game so me and 1000000 others would be happy lol. It would be weird with no Captain Commando because he is capcom's actual super hero type- even more than Ryu who's a fighter not a super hero type. And if they see the three characters he call out to help is an issue, they could simply just remove them because he's already has cool moves of his own and give him a different super.

I hope they completely shake it up. I don't wanna see MVC2 redux, I wanna see a brand new cast with as few returning as possible. Deadpool and Dante are looking very nice.

So you can X factor without losing a character now? Why not call it Baroque and confirm this as TVC's faithful sequel, but just say that the tvc characters are now replaced with Marvel.

Where is it confirmed that Ken is in? Who is barbie. All I want to say is, that I hope at least one of these three characters are in between Seth, Gill, and Urien been looking forward for Capcom to put one of them in. Imagine a beefed up Regis Reflector reflecting Iron Man's Proton Cannon beam right back at him lol. Or Gill using his powerful Ice/fire ball and his powerful moves or Seth using his interesting moves as well. Plus none of those characters have been in a real crossover yet.

I Think They Should keep SF Characters 2 a minimum but i wouldn't mind seth seeing as he's the most recent boss we'll probably just get ken and akuma though personally i want Demitri In it ain't played as him in years..

they need to at least give us a demo for the game i would pay for it

Dude i just saw the new lvl 3s, i have to admit, they werent the best ive seen, hopefully these are just prototypes, they need to add more of an umph to the moves

@28 barbie is the a fighter from the street fighter alpha series. In My opinion the should do it like this:
Street fighter=Ryu
Street fighter 2=chun li
Street fighter alpha series(as a whole)=adon
Street fighter 3(as a whole)=ken
Street fighter 4=(as a whole)=idk maybe someone who the story is relvoing around most...seth?juri?abel?so that way in all you have 4-6 charactyers from street fighter anyone agree?

Every major Marvel character that has a movie coming out is in the game Iron fist, Thor, Gambit will be in the game because of Marvel popularity hopefully
Capcom may put Characters for every game like sf1 Ryu Sf2 Chun li sf3 Alex I dont see many more street fighter characters in this game maybe as fillers later but now we need Gene from God hand

Imagine having alternate costumes for the characters. ie: Captain America (WWII Cap, Ultimates Cap, Bucky Barnes Cap, USAgent), Spider-man (Symbiote, Noir, 2099), Iron Man with his different armors, Ryu and the Street Fighters( their SFIV costume sets? ) Chris Redfield: (STARS and his other costumes from RE5) and etc! I cannot wait!

I really hope that they add Storm to the list, she was a very popular character in the game, and I would like to see how she will do now that you wont be able to run away and build energy up. Also there is debate on weather she is or isnt in because of what Seth Killian said. He didn't confirm her hungry fans are reading to deep into his statement. I really think she will be in the because they hit 2 birds with one stone by adding her. The obviouse first is she would be the tolkn black, and second many gay people loooove and live for fighting games like no other demographic and many gays looove Storm. Therefore it would only make sense that she would be in. Personally I liked wolverine the most, but I did play storm occasionally.....

Cant believe ghost rider didnt make it, then again, the cinematic would of shown ghost rider and ryu fighting, and wolverine versus amateratsu in the trailer

I Personally think that they should only have unique & original moveset characters such as character like Magneto & Thanos from MvC2! because I'm fed up of seeing kage bushin shotokan characters in every capcom vs game!, it needs to stop. they should looking through their archives and pull out characters like Samanosuke akechi from onimusha thats what I think!

I think Marvel needs to add Blade!!! He would be a sword based character and use his other weapons as well. They should go ahead and announce Cyclops and Captain Commando if they are in the game for the next announcement. The game would be awkward without those two iconic heroes. After that I have my team.
Other cool characters are Seth,Bionic Commando, Urien, Bishop, Gill, and Storm would be cool to add in the game. Bionic Commando would sort of be a good replacement for Omega Red.

I do agree that Sandman and Doc Ock would be fun characters, although it may be hard to not make Sandman a total beast since he would like dodge every attack. I think that even though he's dead now, the Sentry might be cool, theres not really anyone else on here like him (besides maybe Thor). Antman (Hank Pym) could be a cool change also

@#71: T. Ono, the producer (i think he is) said there wouldn't be any Rival Schools characters, which i'm slightly disappointed about. But if people really want to see fresh and new characters, then Capcom should put in some Fate/Unlimited Codes fighters.

Strider hiryu or hein better be in this, and marvel better leave gambit or havock. I don't think nightcrawler could fit in this game.

Apocalypse would be awesome in this game and he would be the perfect replacement for Sentinel. He doesn't have to be some giant character like he was, but his basic usual size or he could be as tall as Sentinel. He's been in 2 games but never playable in his usual size.

has anyone ever thought about Apocalypse as a playable character. The MSH v S doesn't count as him being playable. That would definitely please X-men Fans!!! Storm, Song Bird, Cyclops, Wolverine, Magneto, and Apocalypse would be the perfect cast of X-men!!! If I had a vote between Phoenix Wright and Apocalypse it would easily be Apocalypse. Plus Apocalypse would be a perfect replacement for Sentinel.

Night crawler should move very quickly, use his tail, weild a rapier, double jump and have alot of teleport moves (other characters who teleport, teleport, he should have super moves based on it.
Ms. Marvel would hit kind of hard, she can fly, blast energy, and can use it to replicate the soul sattelite move from rose in ssf4.

they need to update that Thor and Amaterasu

Capcom, I've just got one question: WHY ARE YOU IGNORING THE POWER STONE FRANCHISE AGAIN?! MVC3 would've been the perfect game to include one of your most popular franchises in the mix! Falcon would've been an obvious choice as he is the main character of the series. Just ONE character would've made your die-hard fans happy. But no, you slap us in the face yet again. You gave the Okami fans something to jump for joy over, so why not the Power Stone fans?! Falcon is FROM a FIGHTING game, his moveset wouldn't have been THAT hard to create! Certainly would've been easier than most of the other characters. You've got a loyal fan base behind that franchise, and you continue to ignore them. Frustrating...Just frustrating...

On a brighter note, I'm happy to see that the mighty Thor made the cut! In his best appearance, might I add. As a fan of the Norse God of Thunder, I'm looking forward to bashing people's heads in with Mjolnir!

that was my personal opinion...I've had my a$$ handed to me by a marrow on some occasions...but I never really understood how she made the cut to be in the game...
And yes Rouge should be in...And her and Ms Marvel could have some sick matches...If they did have Rouge in...I would hope they brough back her power drain special moves from XMvsSF...

@#91: it would be cool if when rouge drained her opponents power she gained one of they're signature moves, at the cost of losing one of her own. Ex: kissing Ryu would allow her to use hadokens, but she would lose her dash punches OR allow her to use a shoryuken, but lose her diving fist....... although to do that for every other character may be to "intricate" to ask of from the MvC3 developers.

I so hope they put Tron Bonne and B.B. Hood in the game! B.B. Hood's only character morph move was her Hyper Apple for You, but in MvC2, Hyper Apple for You's animation was changed to look like her Ex pursuit attack!

I know I am new to this and by now everyone has voiced who they would like in the game, but can we all agree that Cap & Marvel are working hard enough to please us!? None the less, if 1 or 2 favorites from 2 are not in it will it stop you from buying it? No. So lets just see what happens and then talkabout why this character(s) wasn't in it after it release! Great game so far! I know I won't be dissapointed!
