Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Moves, Characters, Combos and Strategy Guides

this game is awesome!! i've had this game for 3 weeks now and its so addictive. i have to say, the wiimote experience really is a con..everything is much 2 simplified and u are forced to rely on hypers to win online battles (where it all gets blocked)...then i went to the classic controller which i couldnt seem to get since the wii is my first console ever. but just today, i have gotten myself an arcade stick!! and finally, i am bringing out my polimar's full potential! thanks capcom for sure a super game.
as of the whole debate..everything has its pros and coms. SF4 for having such a gd history of game experience, and TVC for a new fresh feel.
preference more or so goes to commited fans.
IMO, i would feel TVC is more fun mainly because...each match tends to last longer(since you fight with two). but some online players are very cheap..(spam Zero projectile)

I bought this game a long time ago and from what I can say it's extremely fun. Too bad it doesn't receive that much attention.

anyone else think that online rankings are a little unfair? i mean, seriously, I'm an ultra rookie and I'm already fighting ultra masters. and whenever i get close to winning, they turn the game off. other than that, my fastest "getting my ass kicked" record is 17 seconds.

Wii2/Wii HD will probably have 3d graphics. Besides, nintendo said they don't need i for now because they haven't run out of ideas. Maybe it will release at 2013 or more.

My mom plays this game because she knows almost all the Tatsunoko characters from her childhood. Haha

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is by far the best game I've owned on the wii, and It's always been a nice competitive game to play with friends and online. =]
I'm not really sure why people bashed the game earlier because TvC is awesome on the wii. I own a wii, ps3, and played 360 a bunch of times with friends and I think that each system is entertaining and is good in their own way, I have played super smash bros., guilty gear, blazblue, tekken, street fighter series, soul calibur series, clay fighter, killer instinct and KI Gold for N64, MvC series, KoF, SvC Chaos (only SvC game I played), MK series, and now TvC, and you know what? TvC is one of the best fighters I've played in years.

Sure i get loads of fun from kicking butt in SSF4 with Cammy and Ibuki, but TvC offered me a more flashy fast paced game experience with great controls that made it easy for me to seamlessly combo into my hyper combos and crush opponents which is always fun and it offered great competitive gameplay. TvC is an amazing game and looks great on the wii, and so what if the wii doesn't have the most amazing games on the planet? It has it's good share of great games and more to come with Metroid other M, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Epic Mickey, and Zelda Skyward Sword. The wii is a good system, nintendo made a bold move with a system based on motion control gameplay and for years have always been trying to give us gamers a deep gaming experience, they try to find new ways to increase our gaming experience and now we can aim a controller at the T.V and shoot at the characters in the game, slash stuff and do more with it's capability, we golfed, boxed and we were given a lot of innovative gameplay which we all can enjoy at the comfort at our own home, the wii helped bring a realistic gaming and arcade experience to our homes guys, as technology advances so will the way we play games, we are soon going to get the playstation move and the 360 has kinect. Now is a good time to be gamers everyone, we should all be proud of our systems and the fun and great times they gave us with games such as (to name a few):

Wii: SSBB, The Conduit, No More Heroes, Madworld, Mario Kart Wii, New Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Galaxy, TvC

360: Halo, Gears of War, Fable 2, the system has awesome online gameplay

ps3: Resistance, Uncharted, Killzone, Metal Gear Solid 4, this system also has awesome online gameplay

Multiplatform: Street fighter, Blazblue, Resident Evil, Fallout and LOTS MORE!
(it's late and i don't feel like naming every awesome game for each system or multiplatform ones)

and also most likely when nintendo releases the 3Ds, which, by the way is another innovative gaming experience they are going to bring to players of every age all around the world, we as a gaming community will enjoy playing Street fighter, Metal gear solid, resident evil, and all the other great games announced for it and the other ones to come in the future for many years after it's release. I'm excited for it, i really want to cannon spike someone off my game console screen and with the 3Ds that dream may come true, i love nintendo for giving us gamers a lot and, at it's time of release, for giving us a revolutionary system that millions loved called the wii that due to lack of "hardcore games" and graphics that don't match up to the 360 and ps3, is getting bashed on for it. -_- graphics does help a game look good but gameplay is a major source of where us gamers get the most fun from our games. Nintendo tried to improve gameplay FOR US and with the wii they did and now we put down their system because of the fact that there are as much horrid games as there are good games on the system?, I'll admit that right now at this moment it may not have the best games on the planet, but over time more games will come and the systems will evolve. the 3Ds in my opinion is revolutionary, and so is the wii and I thank nintendo for that. Let's all enjoy our consoles and stop hating on one another, it's ridiculous and the arguments fill up over half of these comment sections.

I want my Tatsunoko VS Capcom 2

This is probably the worst VS Capcom game. Sure, it's got Ryu, Chun Li, Morrigan, and Gold Lightan. But there just aren't enough SF characters. AND I ONLY KNOW 1 TATSUNOKO CHARACTER!

why can't this be transformed into DLC for the ps3 and xbox360? i would buy this game just for alex, but i sure as hell am not going to waste any money on a system like the wii.

The wii has good games. Hell, it has GREAT games. If you hate Nintendo there are great 3rd party titles too.

Okay smart mouth, how is that a fanboy issue if the both games are PRACTICALLY THE SAME THING! Idiot. MvC3 is a crossover, TvC is a crossover, MvC3 has big issues by the fans saying "Put this put that bring back god tiers so the game will be horrible in online play" Also had thousands of complaints of "WHERE IS X, WHERE IS SPIDERMAN, WHERE IS FRANK WEST. WHERE IS JUGGERNAUT" TvC had no complaints on the game. Just patiently waited and had no problems. Roster was perfect even though it was small but its still better than those fanboys b!tching about the roster.

Who's being smart? I asked how he or she knew that. I don't believe a final build has been played by anyone here and there's definitely no demo. So once again that person can't possibly be speaking from a gameplay standpoint. Graphically? Musically? It's an ass pull and I think it's because MvC3 is gonna be everything TvC is but on more than one console. Sorry the truth hurts you so guy...

As for the whining about the roster...that seems to be pretty commonplace on here sadly. But don't get it confused if TVC was released for othe consoles different Capcom characters would be cried over and wanted as DLC. I don't know a whole lot about the Tatsunoko side but I'm gonna assume MU>>>TU.

I'm not one to dive into these ridiculous console wars, but I figured I'd give my two cents (Keep in mind I have a Wii, 360, and PS3). I love how every PS3/360 fanboy claims only children play the Wii yet I can't go a day without facing at least five loudmouthed, ill-mannered, most likely inbred child on the 360 and PS3. Point in fact is all three consoles have an early teen/pre-teen audience so using the 'only children' argument doesn't cut it. If your argument is the 'better graphics' argument then you're no better than those who use the prior argument...a game can look great, but suck...it's just a fact.

That being said each console is great, just in it's own way. Even once MvC3 is released I'm sure I'll come back to this gem of a game every once in a while to enjoy it's refreshing roster of Capcom characters that didn't make the cut in MvC3 and Tasunoko characters.

Watching this and watching MvC3 I feel like TvC is a much better/deeper/better balance game. I hope UMvC3 fixes that or TvC makes a return.

I only regestered to this site to make it known that Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars is one of the greatest games EVER. MvC3 is cool and I havent played the new version yet, but Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom is a classic. This site has helped me alot also

I bought the Wii just because I heard this game is coming to the Wii. I had to wait awhile, but as soon as it came out, I bought it, and it is still my favorite game. MvC3 is good, TvC is better.

Those who don't know TvC, is out of print now. You may want to get whatever copies are left before it is at the mercy of price gougers (just like what happened to MvC2).

As regards to out of print, this is true. BUT, there's plenty of copies being sold on Amazon. Go grab one. Highly recommended if you missed out on it. Watch some EVO footage if you need to.

can't wait for TVC HD or TVC2 oh wait neither one of those will ever happen because getting all the licenses from Tatsunoko would be a nightmare and besides I would rather have UMVC3 HD or MVC4 since the marvel vs games are better

TVC and MVC3 are nothing alike, TVC had plenty of roster complaints and it's dead anyway unlike MVC3.
