The final boss of the game and the one responsible for holding the tournament, Seth is actually one of the many genetically engineered replacement bodies created for use by M. Bison.
CEO of the new weapons corporation, S.I.N., Seth leads the company into new combat technologies, which he isn't afraid to us on himself.
The enhanced being uses the data gathered on the world's greatest warriors to create a mixed martial arts the likes of which have never been seen.
This puppet master now aims to hold a new fighting tournament where he will be able to gather enough data to complete S.I.N.'s BLECE project, their ultimate weapon program.
And the fighter that lies at the center of the project is non other that Ryu.

Glad Capcom approved the posting of that limited 'Official' training manual. So good tidbits on the storyline. Since it's not getting wide distribution.
Clears up some things, looks like S.I.N. is indeed a separate entity from Shadowloo; not just a weapons division or umbrella company.
Can't wait to see the updates once the new anime hits & the in game storylines are revealed.
Too bad Seth still looks like an updated monitor cyborg...

The character design is actually based of SF4 Producer (I think) Seth Killian, without his shirt on.

reminds me of dragonball z and how dr. gero gathered info about fighters and then made Cell.

After finsh the game with Seth, understand the relationship between Seth and Abel. I start wondering will there be Cain in SF4 story line.

It is based off Seth Killian, but he's got a really weird body structure if that's him with his shirt off.

he has abs in between his pecks thats stupid and so is seth. and yes willian that is what dr. gero did so they stole his background as well. seth is like a bag of crap that lights YOU on fire an leaves you to get steped on. he is the worst boss ive ever seen capcom spit out.bald naked ugly boring cheap repetative lame stupidness would be some good words to describe him and in fact from now on thats his new background story

BELLYBUTTON VORTEX MOVE IS AWESOME YESH YESH !
I want to stick my face into Seth's tummy and blow raspberries!

Hard not to agree with the fact that he 'sucks' and 'blows' so much, since that basically describes his Ultra.

Not to sound nitpicking or anything but typo on the second line...

Seth is by far the worst character/boss/ANYTHING and IF I was Seth Killian I would hate to have this week old turd as a namesake.

Seth is definently : "Unique." But screw Seth, Machine Bison for the win!

Seth is a total ripoff of the first Resident Evil boss... looks-wise anyway.

Nah, Seth's pretty much an Omega (Orochi-infused) monitor cyborg ingame.

Seth owns , he has the most control in the fight but yet the lowest stamina so he cant really mess up when he plays..
but yall seth haters probably just dont know how to beat him cause ya SUCK lolz.

Seth's biggest fault isn't his difficulty. It's his crappy design, name, personality, moves. They said he was based off of yin/yang... Yeah, very subtle. This is the kind of design a child would come up with if they were told to make a character based off of yin and yang.
"UHHHH... OK, let's have him be this muscular, bald, naked guy and.... give him a yin yang sphere for his abdomen! WE'RE GENIUSES!"
And then they tried to be a bit more "creative" by giving him retarded anatomy. No wonder SF4 defaulted to mostly SF2 characters instead of creating a new cast altogether.

@ 18
(original color)
You forgot that he is a pale ghost white, turns black during that telekinesis pull move thing, and when he gets k.oed hes also black. Ying/yang is black and white too.

I main Seth, and I can admit that his visual design is one of the most derivative I've ever seen Capcom produce.
Look at the comparsions; Tyrant from RE1, Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen, not to mention that his overall character design is ridiculous. I HAVE A YING YANG IN MY STOMACH THAT SUCKS PEOPLE IN...what.
I still love him though. :D

Poor character design having ying yang is it? Guess gill was more subtle.

Seth is a load of crap, why chuck some half baked, poorly designed rip off character as the boss, when keeping with the classic feel of SF4 they could have just used Bison (dictator) as the boss, he's more than bad ass enough. For anyone who is having trouble beating Seth, he's actually quite easy, on any difficulty, all you need to do is keep at around sweep distance from him, wait for him to throw his low HP, block it, then move forward slightly, it'll bait him to throw it again, as soon as he throws it again jump in and combo, never attack him with a fireball whilst he is getting up just wait at sweep distance from him, play defensive, keep close and he'll eventually use his spinning kick special, block and then combo, wait for these openenings and only these openenings and you should be fine, just remember, never try to attack him when he's getting up and never jump towards him if he's not recovering from his heavy punch, using this pattern you can defeat him with any player, so beat this piece of crap, noone should fall before this garbage characters hands

Everyone who is talking smack on Seth has got some work to do. My brother plays Seth and Seth as a character is a demon when trained with properly. He is close to impossible to beat without the right training. But it makes up for it in the fact that his health value is 750. So he can't mess up during game play whatsoever which is a good balance. And for those who haven't played previous Street Fighter games, he looks and fights an awful lot like Urien. Compare the two.
