This has to be the dumbest background story on any character in a fighting game.

I think they should have just kept T.Hawk.

Sounds like Jam's Story...

No way is it the dumbest. Dudley's background story from SFIII is the dumbest. The all powerful Gil steals his car. He's fighting to get his car back.

stupid, stupid, stupid character. horrible story. my head actually hurt when I read his background. the creators should be embarrassed.

i think El fuerte is one of the best characters in the game. you have to think i think he has his own set of move that no other character can copy other than the wal jump by Vega. The story line was a little wierd by still other than the whole back ground. HE KIX MAJOR AZZ....

Though his storyline is a bit cheesy he's a great character and fits perferctly in Street Fighter IV

But i expected him to be like a big wrestler like Abel, until I saw how small and blazing fast he was, course he still owns pretty hard :O

u shouldnt judge a character by his story line cause this game arcade mode gives you no information whatsoever. he's bottom tier and still rapes sagats. i play him and i know thats its more interesting watching him than sagat or ryu cause he's pretty rare to find a video of him owning

What a racist story.....capcom coun't think of real story......by far a crappy story...
Posted by CD on July 22, 2009 at 9:56 a.m. #17
Yeah capcom really gives shocking storys with apsolutely no basis or story arc other then the rival match with another stupid pathetic reason as to why they are fighting.
Something i really must give credit to console fighters is the effort they go into making a good solid story that comes together nicely with the other characters.
Arcade fighters fail at this but on topic for the first time in this post i think it's bad they give him such a silly look and coupled with the retarded story line i cant see why anyone would play him.

El Fuerte's my favorite character. His moves are unpredictable and comical and his win quotes are possibly the greatest in any fighting game. Haha

One of the best characters in the game, and prety funny gameplay.... but... the backstory is one of the greatests fails in the universe

the storys supposed to be funny, which it is. why yall get so serious about it
Posted by Kangarou on November 20, 2009 at 5:26 a.m. #21
why is there a question mark after the word ''Head grabs?''
If anyone read his bio in the first strategy guide, they would know his skill is being able to stand on his head for a long period of time.

Not quite. The skill in question is being able to do neck bridges for a certain length (like 3 hours?) and that involves making an arch with your body with your head slightly inward on the ground and your feet on the ground. It's supposed to be the best exercise for the neck and traps, but you have to be very careful.

El Fuerte is just awesome, I love his "flashy and energetic" personality, makes me smile everytime I see him.

Lame story or not, I think El Fuerte is the bomb.

I love El Fuerte he is awsome.I am Mexican American and I am so proud of El Fuerte he is going to make a great addition in the game.I also like him because he looks like Rey Mysterio my favorite wrestler.

He's been in Street fighter 4 for about a year and half now.

He is going to...? You know he's already selectable in SF4. He just isn't played very often because he's weak against Shotos. He's ironically very strong against Zangief, which very few people play. He also very strong against Rose, which also no one plays. :( Everyone plays a Shoto so no one will play Elf.

Fuerte is actually very decent against shotos, you need to learn how to bait well, and then punish Dragon punches with RSF or Ultra for big damage. His main problem is against charge characters like Boxer and Honda imo.
In general, he almost always has a disadvantage, but it is never overwhelming, nothing that is worse than 4:6. I think that is one of the reasons that I love choosing him; you know you are in for a challenge when you pick him, but it is never too much. A good Fuerte can never be underestimated.
