Abel is actually nothing more than a genetically engineered replacement body created for use by M. Bison. He was to be disposed of with the other failed specimens, but he alone managed to survive and escape.
After being saved from a burning lab by the commander of a mercenary group, Abel woke severely injured and with a case of amnesia.
The commander looked after the young Frenchman and became a father-like figure.
Before the commander's passing, he told Abel that the lab he was found in was actually the former base for Shadaloo and he should be wary of the crime organization.
Now out on his own with his amnesia still haunting him, Abel works with Chun Li to investigate the rumors surrounding the presumably destroyed Shadaloo syndicate, using his mixed martial arts combat to enter the new fighting tournament.

But, as far as the Remmy thing goes, that makes a lot of sense...and obviously he was taken care of by Charlie hence why in his story (and Guile's) he tells Guile that he has seen his moves before.

Abel is supposed to have a connection to Seth if u look closely at them they sorta have similar facial features

Abel is a failed project of Bison and was thrown away. He was sapost to be what Seth was but wasn't selected. Im also guessing he saw the sonic boom before because when they threw him out that's the move that was used on him by seth which was why he was all beat up in first place.

He is an Alpha-Seth that failed,as said in his ending.

All this stuff with Abel and Seth being part of a "number" project makes me wonder if it's connected to Gill, Urien, Necro and Twelve from Third Strike.

It looks like they have something in common, and plus when he said to Guile that he've seen the sonicboom before ! Only Seth got an other sonicboom ...

Nope, Charlie must be the other sonicboom user... and it makes sense with Guile's story, since Guile is lookin' for Charlie too ! (it explains why Guile is VERY interested by the story of this Abel who talks about another sonicboom user)
But the Abel/Seth thing is very interesting, makes a lot of sense.

dumbass grown men, seth & abel are da same prototype for bison, nothin else, abel was grown differently because he was da primary, when da base was attacked he got found by the mercs and raise as one & yes he seen da move from charlie first, check out rose's story to she has ties also

How are you people so sure that he saw Charlie use the Sonic Boom that Abel saw? he probably saw it from seth who imitates other characters moves (Guile) and stop saying he is Charlie. Right now all we know is hes was suppose to be what seth is but he failed so he was thrown and rescued by some unknown man. And in his win quote against Seth he states "Why do you look like me? Am I even human?!" which may lead to the conclusion of: He isn't CHARLIE. My opinion shut up about it

Hmm screw my last comment. Guile's SSIV Win quote is "the man who rescued you used this move that mus be my friend" and come to think of it Seth DOES use 1 handed sonic booms. Maybe it is charlie after all.

Charlie is alive. Don't you get it? Charlie was the only one who's strong enough to do a one handed sonic boom. Seth copies powers from other ppl. Seth copied it from charlie. Abel Saw either charlie or seth do it and remembered when guile did it.

Well, I don't think Seth would rescue Abel, so it must be Charlie or Remy. And Abel said the man who rescued him died so.. :'(
