One of the most important concepts in Third Strike is canceling. This technique is a building block for a huge number of devastating setups.
If you don't know how to do this, you're probably not going to win very much.
Canceling sometimes goes by the name '2 in 1' or 'buffering', but it all means the same thing. Interrupting the frames of a move you're doing to execute another one, resulting in a combo.
To cancel a move, your attack must either be blocked or hit your opponent. This enables you to interrupt the animation of specific moves and go right into another attack.
There's a large number of cancels in the game that you can use to combo, you'll be able to find the most useful ones for each individual fighter in their character guide.
You'll find techniques for executing a cancel move in the video above.

great stuff, even though everybody who plays beat em ups usually should know that, cancelling basics into specials is the bread and butter
like the video poster said cancelling emans to interrupt aniamtions into another one for more damage, so lets say a low kick and instantly conencts with a special move, it gives you a huge advantage in an opening.

i find the best way to train to do cancel moves is with ken, ryu or akuma. do the fierce dragon punch and the last min you have to cancel is roughly the second or 3rd hit. train by doing it then doin a fire after or even their super move, easiest way man
