Played it yesterday at SJ State. Timing is a bit different as I expected for all the new Street Fighter installments. The gameplay would be the most similar to Super SF2 Turbo. I guess it will be a while before people are catching on to the focus system.

The Marunaka Shopping Plaza's Game Center has two linked cabinets but no one ever plays (/cry). I end up just playing the CPU while 4 year old run around with Pokemon cards and play those silly Rock Paper Scissors arcade games for 4 year olds that are over here.

Don't know the official address, but it's a 5 minute walk from the Shin Kurashiki Station, "towards town" (trust me, you can't get lost).

i live in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan at the moment.
there is plenty of machines in most arcades over the city.
its very cheap too, costing 50yen per turn at some arcades.
im a huge fan and iv beat akumas butt　many times. but i havent opened up the new charcter? also im trying to find out how i can pick Akuma as a playable charecter, can anyone tell me?
also how to you unlock akuma, becouse i seem to get him apear most times after i kick seths butt...or is just random?

Arcade operators were given a code at a certain date to unlock the characters, on september 21st they were given the code to unlock gouken (ken and ryu master). It was the same with akuma, arcade operators had to unlock him with a code. Since those character are insanely powerful, I doubt arcade operators will input the code to make them playable soon. The codeto make them playable for operators is CHNB9FGC, after this, the players can select them by pressing down on the las row of characters.

I'm pretty suprised about the cabinet at UC Davis. It's only until recently that we have been getting some good and pretty new machines. The cabinets are nicely constructed, however the placement of the machines are awkward. Cannot blame them since there is not much room to begin with. Fridays are pretty packed with people breathing down your neck, other than that you can usually find some turns in the late hours of the weekdays.

I think it will be more packed now, since they had started placing the big sign on the outside of the MU gaming area instead of on the stairs.

Guy using Zangief, I always see you there, whether it be in the morning or late at night. ^^

Check on gameworks. I went last week before they had them. They started doing a remodeling of the whole place, they were bringing new arcades.

And they did, along SF4 they also have Tekken 6, Raiden 4 among others.

I can back up Erick's statements, Tempe AZ Gameworks did a major overhaul and added tons of hard to find imports such as rhythm tengoku, pop and music adventure, tekken 6, SFIV and many many more great hard to find games. They weren't done the last time I was there, but there was a line for SFIV with top notch players. I couldn't win a round, but I pulled off an ultra. Good stuff.

There is one in Thailand. Here in Bangkok, at the top (7th) floor of the MBK Shopping Center. Not sure of the address. Take the MRT (tram) to Siam Center Station. 2 Cabinets linked. Games are 20 Baht, which is about 60 cents. Be prepared to play against Ken, Ryu, or Dhalsim, since thats the only people anyone can seem to play here. Except me, cuz I was kicking ass with Blanka earlier today.

There's one in Thailand! at Central Ladprao. 5th floor which is movie theater floor. it's right next to the bathroom. LOL i was like so shock when i see it. at first i walk pass it and didn't even notice it because i was in a hurry to go to the bathroom. but when i got out of the bathroom. BAM! right in front of my face. I'm like! omg how did i miss it. the arcade is so huge and i miss it. i was like OMG so loud and spend like 200 baths on that game? for like 2 hours. but then gotta go home. so yeah, it's tight! too bad they got no parry. Unfortunately with the PS3/360 release less than 2 months away, I don't think we'll see any more SFIV machines pop up in any arcades here in the US.

SF4 wont come out in UK arcades until it has come out on the consoles. Something to do with the licensing and converting it to PAL and the people that issue or sort out the licence's are charging capcom loads so capcom just thought feck it and when SF4 hits the consoles the want for it in the arcades will drop and so will the licensing cost.
Sorry if that sounds kinda confusing but it seams the main reason SF4 hasnt come out in the UK and Europe for that fact is cos of money grabbing wankers.

At University Pinball in Pennsylvania, there are two linked cabinets where each cabinet has BOTH P360 AND Japanese sticks, so the player can use whichever they prefer. It's really nice. The buttons are Happ regardless.

i played street fighter 4 arcade today and i liked the gameplay and i look forward to play it on my PS3 because the stick is to hard to work with and with the PS3 controller i can do my moves right with the characters i play with and it have online play to so yeah this is the best street fighter game there is so if you like street fighter than go play the arcade and wait for the PS3 /XBOX360 comes out in 7 weeks from now !!!!!!!

SF4 WONT BE COMING TO UK ARCADES OR EUROPE UNTIL IT COMES OUT ON THE CONSOLES FIRST. This is due to it getting converted to PAL or something like that. This is to Rob who asked what there is at trocadero SF wise....there are 4 SF3 3rd strike machines (lots of good players go there), 2 super street fighter 2 turbo machines, other capcom fighters i think.....marvel vs street fighter and snk vs capcom chaos or whatever its called.

i said SF4 wont be coming to arcades not events. Ive seen it in the Excel Centre when there was an anime exhibition but it was a jap version of the game, not a European version. There was also a street fighter tournament thing in London and they had a SF4 machine but again it was from japan. Trocadero has definitely NOT got SF4 and any arcades in the UK and Europe like Trocadero will only get SF4 in once it has come out on console.

Oh yeah, Just played the machine at tri-county on long island.
Machine seems to be set at a very easy difficulty level. ;(

Street fighter 4 is in Trocadero London now! Your right mate there is a twin sf4 cab. Its a korean (i believe) version but who really cares, why it has taken so long to get here is another thing but its finally here!!!
I was at Trocadero till 1 in the morning and there was still a crowd around that machine, im guessing ur gonna have to get there well early if you wanna get on it.

So I just found out that there is a Street Fighter 4 machine over at the Japan Arcade in Little Tokyo. It is not an official machine. It is actually 2 machines linked together. You have a choice of the American Happ stick or the Japanese Sanwa. 50 cents per play.

Flipper's in Hollywood,has a SFIV xbox 360 setup,it's not a cabinet but they have arcade sticks and a decent setup.$4 and you play in a bracket type system for as long as the place is open.

Any in Vegas yet...I really wanted to try this game out? All I play there now is Soul Calibur 2 in the Bellagio Arcade. I'm a player of legend by the way. :)

Bah..For the one in Asian Garden Mall, they ended up selling their cabinets. There's a small arcade on harbor and McFadden...Going to check that place out this weekend. Maybe they bought them ;]

Just to make an update there is now one in Perth, Australia, north bridge pot black and its in English but the cabinet is the original japanese cabinet although isnt able to be used to its limits

sf4 in trocadero london.linked cabinet side by side big hd screen.fisrt 1 has ball top jap sanwa or semitsu stick second cab has bat top sanwa or semitsu both with sanwa or semitsu buttons.i think its jap version not sure voice of characters were jap. winning qoutes were in english.

The SF4 at the ASIAN MALL in WESTMINSTER was taken out recently.. dont ask me how or why.. well, the buttons and sticks were bad anyway.. it was the real deal.. it was in that ASTRO arcade machine.. a small one.. but you might wanna ask the owner why he removed it.. but i have no reason to lie -_- sheesh...

YO! BAZ you were so right I went to Japan Arcade today. There was no competition or they just knew I would kick their ass and no one played me but I had 2 spectators as witnesses. I used Ken, but I guess the character you choose don’t matter. I didn’t lose any rounds. I got many perfects super and ultras (was not counting so I don’t have actual stats) but anyway, I beat Seth and I was about to leave then instead of the ending its said bonus round and showed a salute of fighter who ended up being Gouken. He kicked my ass because I was busy trying to record it on my cell phone. I got one round recorded on my phone. I wonder if you can unlock more fighters and maybe even play them at the arcade. If any of you have fought any other characters’ please let me know how you did it and I mean at the arcade not on the 360 or PS3.

When's the best time to go to San Jose State for competition? I went there thursday night and there was almost no competition for SF 4. There was one really good guy, but he was only visiting San Jose.

Yeah, I was at SJSU Thursday but during the afternoon, there were only two other people there and not much competition. I heard from one of the guys that there isn't much competition because it's the summer session and all. I'm guessing you're going to have to wait until the fall semester begins :X

They have a good set up though. High quality HAPP set up, although I do prefer Japanese style.

Oh and it's 50 cents to play now. The listing above says 75 cents, it's wrong.

the peter pans arcade in New York is only 50 cents now. and its not per play, its basically 50 cents until you lose. i just wanted to clear that up a little cause you guys worded it a little differently. thanks!

@Massachusetts , there used to be but certain set of unfortunate circumstances occurred and they were forced to close business, (All I know is that there was a flooding). It was the best arcade I've ever been to.

i live in Japan. and i play sf4 a few times a week.
pretty much every single arcade in tokyo and japan has at lease one sf4 machine or 6.
And their is at least one arcade in every city in tokyo.

there is a few good places not listed here
Kichijoji on the Chou Line has about 5 good arcades.
also their is variations in what you get for ¥100, ¥50, ¥120, like you might have 6 rounds per match, which is awesome if you just wanna muck around and practice.
or 2 games per ¥100 is pretty common.

one place where all the best dudes play and hang is BIG BOX in Takadanobaba on the Yamanote line.
if you wanna see the highest players in Japan, go to this arcade. also its ¥50 a pop, double the fun!.

pss something i wish was in the game is a harder boss charecter, wouldnt be cool to just keep playing harder and harder bosses! (like if you do you really well and you open akuma or goukin after seth) ( akuma is piss easy, but old mate kicks ass)
